Stopped in here for lunch when it began raining with no expectations since it seemed a little commercial and no one had recommended the place to us. However, it was a Sunday afternoon and there were a number of local families dining there. The ravioli, not a local specialty, was quite good, and the pizza very nice. The staff wasn't... More

We went there for lunch and enjoyed the food so much, that we returned for dinner. We had salad, pizza and pasta from the daily special. The tuna salad was good - put together using fresh & simple ingredients such cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, pine nuts, etc. Delicious pizza and amazing ravioli. The ravioli was stuffed with fish & ricotta, served... More

A restaurant wit a nice atmosphere due to the cave ceilings and the decorations.Simple menu with a large offer of pizzas. However the other items on the menu are simple but very well done. The antipasta, the pasta and het main dishes do not show surprising items but they are tasteful and well presented.

This was the first place we decided to try a local pizza. We were really impressed with the ambiance and interior of the restaurant. Typical of many in the area with grotto style ceilings and rustic style furnishing. Interesting chair designs. The restaurant was fairly quiet but had only one waiter so our service was a little slow. Unfortunately the... More

We ate at Oi Mari the first time by chance but came back the next night because of the wonderful pizza and warm atmosphere. Simple, delicious food for good value.

If you're looking for good food and cheap pizza, go here. The options are enough to choose from and they are really cheap too. Even the wine or prosecco doesn't empty your wallet. When early dinner is your thing, there are always people dining here with you unlike other restaurants where dinner starts late.

As I became hungry one day while exploring Matera, I stopped into this place solely because it advertized "Pizza Napoletana." I ordered a pizza with buffalo mozzarella, spinach, and sausage. One bite into it I knew I'd made the right choice. I swear I almost fainted it was so good. I've been to Naples a few times, so I've eaten... More

While living in Italy these past 4 years I have eaten my share of pizza from one coast to the other, from North to South. While visiting in Matera we three ladies stopped in Oi Marì for lunch; loved the atmosphere deep in a cave, but with lovely high ceilings. Pizza very reasonably priced, actually cheap compared to Genova (where... More

This place is perfect. Steaks are terrific value as is the vino. Very attentive service. Food all fresh and cooked to perfection. The interior is very relaxing with a mixture of rustic/ classy decor.

Pizza in Italy is normally a treat. This was more like a New York Italian pizza in style. Undercooked with too much dough. Service was quick and fairly friendly. Not the Southern treat I was looking forward to.
