liked: the food, the cleanness and the service and the local (basilicata) white wine disliked: it's a little far form the centre of the village.

We loved the atmosphere and had a pleasant lunch of which the pasta was the highlight. Service was great.

Had dinner here at about 8:00 in the evening. Picked it out at random like we did most restaurants on this trip. The food was excellent and the portions were good. atmosphere was intimate and the help was friendly with some english to help us out. I was a very pleasant evening.

Even though we didn't have reservations, the staff quickly accommodated us with a table. The staff was extremely nice and we had prompt service for our meal. My dinner was okay, but not spectacular. I was disappointed in my food, because I expected something spectacular since the restaurant was such an upscale place. The place did have a romantic ambiance,... More

Good local food, inside a cave with very attentive service. Wine was excellent and overall generally well priced with plenty to eat. Some limited choices on the menu the only reason for not giving an excellent rating. Maybe quiet season in October. And if your order chips with your steak they'll serve crisps ( for the English readers) .

This restaurant offers a nice and interesting mix between modern and traditional, both for the interior, with modern furnishing inside a typical grotto of “Sasso Caveoso”, and for the food, a very good interpretation of the traditional recipes of Matera’s cookery. The quality of waiters’ service is also very high. The prices are a little more expensive than the average,... More

I am sure that most of the people will like this restaurant because it aims to the middle taste. The first course was good. We had a plate of salami and cheese which was a good surprise, but the rest was over tasted; Too salty and too rich in taste... The wine was excellent and reasonable in price. The design... More

Maybe our expectations were too high from the reviews - great setting, but the starters were ordinary and over priced, the Prosecco was pretty disgusting and the grilled vegetables quite unappetising- although our main meat courses (pork fillet and beef fillet ) plus the mushroom side dish were lovely. The service was very diffident .

The steaks were extremely large and staff took good care to ensure it met our requirements as to medium cooked. Dishes were not all of our English taste perhaps because we are not fond of chick peas and beans however overall a very good establishment
