I cannot see what the fuss is about in this place the reviewers must have left there taste buds at home, it is very cheap but you get what you pay for. Lesson learned. We had two 5 euro paellas (we tried to order the 12 euro but you have to order it a day before) the rice was over... More

Reviewed this restuarant, right in the heart of Valencia, a couple of years ago. Very happy to report that it continues to impress. Although always busy at lunchtime (14.00-15.30), the service was fast and efficient, the food well cooked and hot and the house wines still excellent value for money. Most of the bodega and many of the dishes come... More

As the only vegetarian in my party, two weeks in rural Spain caused some difficulties in trying to accommodate all requirements. My vegetarian friends recommended this little place so we gave it a go. They offer a fantastic lentil soup, stewed chickpeas and a stew of artichokes and beans. On the non-vegetarian side, the braised leg of lamb my friends... More

I like the atmosphere, we are going there all the time we go to Valencia, we like the Azulejo ( blue tiles) on the wall The restaurant is simple but offer really good prices, it is visited mainly by locals, they, serves authentic Spanish cuisine, prepared right in front of the guests. And the dishes are so good, that often... More

Utielana’s kitchen is straightforward and tasty, and consistently cooks one of the closest homemade “casera” foods you can get. Moreover, you won’t have to wait long before getting your meal, and prices are decent. Well hidden behind the beautiful Marquis de dos Aguas palace, the restaurant, run now by the daughter of the founders, is small, crowded and friendly. A... More

Hidden away off the tourist route, but what a great find. Very local Spanish for spaniards. Very friendly staff, but who don't speak much English, which shows this is a restaurant for the local population. Fantastic prices too. The lamb shank was great and my wife!s grilled garlic prawns were fabulous too. Open at lunchtime but not until 9pm at... More

Returned here again with my friend, a chef. Great family atmosphere, friendly and informative waitresses. Choose the special nightly fish dish. Delicious. Good wine and relaxing evening. Economical. Just like home.

Very close to the Ceramic Musuem in historic Valencia. Busy restaurant with friendly staff. Would liked to have tried some other mains but we both went for the lamb. It was delicious - only slight disappointment was frozen chips. Excellent bottle of house wine for 5.50euros. Not too easy to find but worth the effort.

Fantastic traditional home style cooking with friendly service. The lady that served us was very helpful and friendly. She explained the menu and made some fantastic recommendations. The best dishes were definitely the slow cooked lamb and daily special rice (paella) dish. If we had more time we would like to have gone back. Have already recommended this restaurant to... More
