It's the kind of place you visit for its traditional food, not the ambience, music or decoration. Last Sunday 100% of people were natives and that says a lot for its food. Real Valencian traditional cuisine the way our grandmothers used to do it, that is their secret!

I'm surprised the restaurant is rated as highly as it is. It's seems a little soulless- bright lighting, no ambiance. However, everyone who works there is very nice and seems happy to be there, which gives a good vibe. The gazpacho was excellent and nicely presented. The fish was overlooked and dry. But we liked the freshly cooked chips. Good... More

Not sure how this is features on TA as the No 1 restaurant in Valencia. My husband and I ate here and the restaurant was packed to the rafters but for me it was lacking in ambiance - too brightly lit and just not very special! That said I had a beautifully cooked fillet steak and my husband had a... More

Dear customer, Sorry you didn't like the potatoes. We prepare them freshly ourselves and can't understand how you didn't realise this when you tried them. They're very popular, that's why we cook them like this. When we served your table and you said you didn't like them we offered to change them for steamed potatoes or grilled vegetables but you... This is a great restaurant. I speak reasonable Spannish, but no Catalan. My friend and I ordered Solmillo and Fois. Sadly we were served a giant steak rib each, which was not as good as one my wife and I had eaten earlier in the week. We were served some Fois later and it was delicious, but it did not... More

A very good, reasonably priced meal. My wife & I shared the mixed fish platter -- it was excellent. The wine recommended by the staff was equally good as was the service. The restaurant is well located not far from the main square. Highly recommended.

Booked earlier in the day because it was a Saturday and we knewi it would be popular. Could only get a table for 9.45 pm but they were most apologetic. We pre-ordered a seafood paella which was absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. We drank Cava as an aperitif and Valencian white wine with the meal. The puds were scrummy.... More

Following a recommendation from a friend, we booked Navarro's for a Saturday night. It was Valentine's Day and they had a set menu which was well priced. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. It is obviously a popular restaurant as they had to turn people away so you need to reserve a table. They have... More
