Lovely Place

Dined here with my wife and another couple with recommendation from the locals. Had the degustation menu for 27€. Amazing value! We had 1 starter each - cod and peppers, grilled squid, salt cod and small clams. All were lovely. We had 2 paella - the seafood and the chicken. We were really full... read more

We were told that this is a place with the best paelha one can find in Valencia. I am sure that it was great, ( I don't know if it was the best). Big dinning hall. Very nice.

Managed to walk in for a late lunch through the rear of the bundling and past the kitchen. The staff seem nonplussed, so I'd recommend doing that to see the kitchen. The restaurant is cavernous with the walls covered in memorabilia. The waiting staff were friendly . We had the menu at around €29 pp. The starters were generous enough... More

Picked this place to escape the hot sun in the afternoon when spending a day on La Malvarossa. After much discussion we agreed on the Pepica paella which was paella with white fish, squid and prawns it was fantastic we loved every bite of it.The service was excellent very friendly and understanding of my dreadful Spanish, the waiter recommended a white wine to... An old haunt of Ernest Hemingway , this restaurant is bigger than you think and if you are lucky get a table overlooking the beach, very busy at lunch time, paella was delicious although other dishes on the menu, every table was eating paella, enough said !

This restaurant is riding on the fact Hemingway used to enjoy a paella there, don't believe the hype there are better PRICED and tastier paellas along the beachfront, very disappointed with our lobster patella, just some rice with a whole lobster almost £50

I had heard great things about this restaurant so I was excited to go and see myself for lunch . First impressions it was buzzing great start then came the reason we were there the paella average at best. The service was rushed and intolerant 65 euros later I was feeling disappointed, la pepica opened its doors in 1898 are... More

Went there with a big group of friends (approximately 20) for paella. We sat down at 14:00 and ended up leaving at around 17:00, which was quite something. Overall, we had several starters (pan con tomate, mussels, fried squid rings), paella (with fish) and dessert, which was plenty of food as all of the portions were big enough. The food... More

My parents suggested this place, said it was the best paella they've ever had. And I agree. Great food, good service and a authentic feel.

Had a pleasant evening meal with traditional food and paella Not the best I've had in the home of paella and served onto plates rather than left in the pan so went cold quickly. Very good red wine. Glad I went for the experience but probably not go again.
