Loved the setting, the atmosphere and the decor. The food and service were very good. Ernest Hemingway's favourite restaurant in Valencia! We had a great 'paella Pepica' with unshelled seafood.

My friend & I went to La Pepica for lunch, and only just arrived in time to get a table, people was queuing up outside for over an hour to get a table. The staff was very friendly & made you feel welcomed. We had tapas, which was really great. And had paella, which it's famous for, although it was... More

Although the interior didn't look too well (very deep building and a large open space), we had a good time there. We were a group of 8 people and all ordered the menu of €17 including a drink, starters (two portions of three different things), paella (two huge dishes, more than enough! you can choose Valencian, vegetarian or seafood paella)... I recommend that place for people who want to taste good spanish cuisine. The restaurant is big and noisy but waiters work quickly. The best paella and seafood.

La Pepica is legendary - Hemingway memorabilia and all, but it's not necessarily the best rice you can have on the Paseo Neptuno. We have found its neighbour, La Marcelina, to have friendlier staff and more delicious rices. Another point is that La Pepica has pretty dismal desserts - very artificial tasting and/or underwhelming, whereas La Marcelina clearly makes their... More

This is hands down the best place to get rice dishes in Valencia. The tapas are also brilliant (chipirones, pulpo). I recommend the paella negra! This places gets very busy, so it is best to make a reservation.

Large old original restaurant, uninviting open space. Food is average, I had better paella in other places even in Miami. I will never come back.......... never again.

We more or less liked this seaside restaurant. The wines were delicious and the paella adequate. We were a little disappointed in the paella as the taxi driver who recommended it said it was the best he had eaten, but we didn't quite agree. We won't be in the area again but if we were I doubt if we would... More
