Restaurant was recommended by friends when we arrived in Gandia (about 40 mins drive away) and when we looked at reviews decided we had to give it a go, we booked a table and pre-ordered seafood paella, maybe this was our mistake... The starters were excellent but the paella was over cooked, very dry, had to scrape off the dish... More

We had a graduation celebration meal with 9 people which could not have been in a more perfect setting away from the city. Pre-ordered Paella Valenciana, added Paella Marisco, eel dish for appetizer, as well as fresh mussels. Too much food to finish, but still room for yummy homemade desserts. Complimentary orujo (trio) was brought to the table which was... More

First the location - on the edge of a canal that borders rice paddy fields they have designed a restaurant with one of the loveliest views I have seen. Their can be no nicer place to enjoy and unhurried lunch. The food is classic Valencian at its best - this is the region known for its rice and home to... More

I have enjoyed this so much with my dear friends and wife that it brought me to tears. We had a beautiful paella with lobster and small mussels as starter. The view was unbelievable; we watched the sun go down during diner! Also the desert was great. We will be back here!

The four of us had an excellent seafood paella. Recommended by an restauranteur in Barcelona upon hearing of our travel direction and and serving us on a Barcelona food tour, she called her parents in Valencia to guide us. Just south and outside of Valencia, In the middle of the rice fields and national park, this was a very comfortable... More

Let´s start by saying that i´m from Valencia. L´Establiment is one of my favorites places when I want to have a good paella (on sundays, we usually eat paella weekends). I wanted to write a review since a long time, and have read the bad reviews before because it was a surprise for me to find a few bad reviews.... More

We loved the view to the canl eating amongst happy locals, intimate place tucked away from the other 1oo restautçrants in El Palmar, much nicer here and we were very well taken care of but the paella was the best we have had and I guess the most authentic compared to the city centre ones.

We were just at the place and after a 10 minute wait some guy comes over to tell us how they can't do anything for us without a reservation. He couldn't even give us their number to call and make reservations. Apparently their reputation for paella precedes them but their rudeness and their "I don't need your business attitude" is... We were directed here by Appetite and it was well worth the drive, despite getting lost along the way in a maze of 200 paella restaurants. but when arrived, it was like a little osasis away from the crowd, in a beautiful spot infront of the canal by the rice fields that Valencia is famous for. We called ahead to... More
