Best seafood paella you'll ever have!

So we decided to visit Casa Roberto for lunch which is famous for its paella during our stay in Valencia. One of the best decisions we ever took during our stay in Spain! In Valencia it is not easy to find an authentic paella as this is made on a Sunday at home. This restaurant is a close second. Busy brasserie type place with brouhaha. Ask for the traditional paella rather than the touristy bocavante one. Try the serrano ham for starters which they are cutting by hand in full view. You need... More

This very traditional restaurant in Valencia lives up to the challenge. Must make a reservation since it's almost always busy. The Paella and the rice dishes are truly splendid.

Delicious cooked to order Paella, fresh well made salads, and a decadent menu of desserts served by a uniformed staff with top of the line table service and charm. This was hands down one of the best meals of my life, we ordered the Paella Valenciana, a dish which contains rabbit, chicken and snails. I was a bit hesitant to... More

We looked for a paella specialty resto in valencia and found casa roberto on line as numero 1. Made reservation by phone and very efficient taking of booking and advise. Upon arrival welcomed 'expected', and guided to our table, the pleasant journey started...our 'waiter' (probably part of the building since creation....) was charming, helpfull, extremely knowledgeable...excellent, and my wife was... Ordered paella valencia (traditional paella) here, which consists of rice, beans, chicken, rabbit, small snails, and artichokes. Food is very tasty, and worth a visit if you area in Valencia area. However, a few things but me about this restaurant. First, they seem disappointed when I only ordered paella. Second, I wasn't happy to find that they charged us 5... More

If you think you've had paella anywhere other than Valencia, then think again. This is one of the best places you can taste the original paella. Fantastic!

When in Valencia city centre, the best place for a paella is Casa Ricardo. It is out of the tourist "circuit" and customers are usually Valencians. It is the right place for business and/or family lunches. The menu is full of traditional "tapas". All of them are fine. Service is exquisite and very friendly. Dessert are mainly home-made. The place... More

Paella was pretty greasy and had poorly prepped and flavoured snails, as well as no discernable rabbit. The bigger problem was the pushy waiters who try to rush you into ordering more than you want, pretending there is no menu or that they misunderstood you. This is also the only restaurant in Spain I've ever had add the 10% IVA... More
