We were recommended the Casa Roberto by our taxi driver when we arrived in Valencia. She asked us if we preferred easy beachgoing with a paella by the beach, or if we were willing to spend a little more. We figured since this is a special trip from California to Spain for us, that we would spend a little more.... More

You just gotta have paella in Valencia, and Casa Roberto is the place to go. It was the best and most authentic paella we have had during our 3+ weeks stay in Spain. Do call ahead of time to make a reservation and pre-order the paella. There are different kinds and we ordered the seafood one. It was not cheap... More

We did not pre-order so had to wait 50 mins for our rice dish choice. I see that a lot of people were annoyed by this, but I think it had to do with preparation time. That's why they asked for the main course order before the drinks order. I did not find it rude, but I can see how... More

I cannot find anything to fault this restaurant. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and atmosphere was very conducive to having an enjoyable meal. It was not cheap but you need to have a treat every now and again!

My wife and I, who both speak spanish, visited on a Tuesday night. We were told we needed to order our Paella in advance and ordered the Seafood Paella. When we got in, it was obvious, they were trying to get us in and out. When he warned me the paella would take 50 minutes, I told him (in spanish,... More

I went to Casa Roberto based on the reviews. Did not see any locals at this place, just tourists and badly dressed americans. Had my hotel reserve a table and Casa Roberto requires you pre-order the type paella you wish to have. My seafood paella was absolutely average if not less. Loved the padrone pepper appetizer though. I agree the... More

My partner and I visited Casa Roberto after seeing its name atop many 'best of' lists of Valencian paella. We arrived at the restaurant shortly after it began dinner service at 9 pm. A huddle of waiters lurked inside and one of them quickly ushered us to our table. Before even being shown a menu we were asked which type... More

Like a lot of people in Valencia we were on the hunt to find the best paella. On our last day. At another restaurant, eating a casual lunch-lobster paella, we confirmed it.. Casa Roberto's was hands down the best one we had. I need to mention the waitstaff is really great too. Our waiter spoke very little English but knew... More

We ask the taxi driver to bring us to the restaurant where we can eat the most delicious paella. And viola! He brought us to Casa Roberto. True to this restaurant prestige, their Paella is sooo delicious! A must try when you are in Valencia!

so this place was a little daunting at first, quite empty on a Saturday night and we were kind of pushed into ordering paella before we got to sit down. But soon we saw the beauty of this place, the waiter we had was so very friendly and had such a laugh with us and the language barrier. We realised... More
