Best tapas

We ate very well during our 4 night stay in valencia but I think casa Montana was my favourite. We had booked but I think our table had been given to someone else. This place is great, the tapas are seasonal and perfectly cooked. Some of the staff speak perfect English and they are all very nice and funny. Be sure to try the goats cheese!

As this tapas bar, in what is left of the old fishermans district behind the fabulous beach in Valencia, is always in all the guides, we were expecting the worse. They even sell souvenirs! We were, however, absolutely delighted with our visit, Exceptional tapas and a superb wine selection by both the glass and the bottle. 4 hours flew by.Great... More

This resturant has a nice setting and so are the plates. The food is served beautifuly but the taste is poor. Most of the plates were everge. I had better tapas in simple tapas bars. We ordered a disert and got a miniture! We were 3 for dinner, had several tapas and a botle of red wine, paid 115 eu.... More

We were terribly disappointed by seeing the same list of dreary, oily tapas on offer in a lot of the restaurants and bars in the city centre, so it was an absolute delight to eat here. It was recommended by friends and - as they warned us - it's not the easiest place to find, but well worth the journey... More

I wish I could give this place four and a half stars. Great atmosphere, very good and friendly service, and good to great food, depending on what you order. The patatas bravas were the best I've had in Spain, and the anchovies were very good, too. The leek was good but not amazing, and the broad beans were pretty forgettable.... More

A bit out of the way but so worth it! It looks like quite a small restaurant but there are larger tables at the back. Attentive, knowledgeable staff - excellent service. Best to book ahead.

Was in Valencia for business and was taken here one evening. Have to say the food was absolutely fantastic, all very fresh and incredibly tasty. The decor is all very old fashioned which makes the place even better Would highly recommend this place if you are in the area
