one of my favorite places to eat in VLC

This is definitively a must go, the place is unique and one of the oldest in Valencia. They serve traditional tapas with extreme care for the selection of each one of their ingredients. This is definitively a must go, the place is unique and one of the oldest in Valencia. They serve traditional tapas with extreme care for the selection of each one of their ingredients. Additionally, each week they change the wines they serve per glass, so you have the chance of tasting outstanding wines for very reasonable prices. Don't miss this... More

We loved the atmosphere, food and service here. Hard to find but worth the effort. Reservations needed if a table is required at peak times in the dining areas at the rear , otherwise you will have to perch at the bar. The food is amazing and authentic. . The patatas bravas and grilled sardines are particularly good.A real hit... More

We were taken here by our Valencian friends who told us it is one of the oldest tavernas and it certainly lived up to the hype. We entered by the bar entrance and had to bob under the bar to go through to the back where the tables were! Our waiter was friendly and helpful with our choices, especially his... More

Casa Montana is beautiful it is worth going for the setting alone. The service is also incredibly friendly. As to the food it serves a great variety of old-school tapas, of good quality but not extraordinary either. The kind of place that is good to experience once (especially if you're visiting as a tourist), but isn't amazing enough that you'd... More

Asked the hotel if they could recommend somewhere good for dinner. They suggested Casa Montaña and so we decided to try it. A little difficult to find but once there we were pleasantly surprised. Glad we made a booking through the hotel as the place was full and it was only a Monday night. Great selection of wines and a... More

After a long walk on a sunny Saturday in January, we ended up having lunch in this place. Excellent food, really innovative, made with the freshest ingredients! Wine of the house, Rioja Nonna was also a great discovery. Will definitely go back next time in the area.

You'll need google maps or something similar in order to find this place - it is out of the City Centre towards the port area in the middle of a largely residential area. We walked in the bar area and wondered if we were in the right place until we saw a gap behind the bar where people appeared to... More

Small and exclusive, get there early as the Spaniards queue outside to get in. Great wine and beautiful tapas. Well worth a visit.

Would never have known about this place if it wasn't for Tripadvisor. After finding it hidden away we were pleasantly surprised. In short the food and wine was fantastic and very reasonable and the atmosphere / decor was very welcoming. Please don't let the next comment put you off but don't expect a posh sit down meal as the place... More
