Excellent lunch stop near the beach

This excellent bar/restaurant near the Las Arenas beach is definitely worth a detour. About 5 mins walk from the Grau metro stop in what was once a fishing community we rated this the best food experience during our 2-day stay in Valencia. Through the smoky art nouveau doors lies a bar lined with... read more

Tapas. But with the best ingredients, quirky dishes and traditional dishes. Pure Spanish, in food, service and decor. I am dribbling as I write. A taste explosion, from fresh fish, through to the bread.

Simply superb. If you visit Valencia and don't come here you are missing out hugely. The waiters were knowledgeable on the food and wine, and were very accommodating. There was a large variety of wine and drinks, and the tapas itself was the best I have ever had. The tuna in seven spices, goat's cheese, and chorizo were just 3... More

Great food, simple but absolutely delicious food: sardines, cuttlefish, a magnificent asparagus omelette/scrambled egg, beef sirloin with green garlic shoots, incredible fermented sheep's cheese and tremendous wines (we had a superb Penedas Chardonnay and a young Spanish red whose name now escapes me, but was beguiling and packed a punch at 14.5% proof. We finished with fantastic café solo and... More

We went to this little hide out Tapas bar based on the reviews on Trip Advisor and it was the best thing in Valencia. The tapas, the Cava and their desert is top quality. In terms of getting there, we would take a taxi as its not the best place to be at 10pm, but, its worth the visit. (it... More

Sitting in a Bodega among big barrels and lots of bottles is very interesting. Having a full taps lunch there is even better. The choice of tapas was amazing with a printed menu of about twelve pages so everyone was satisfied. We ordered and ordered and each time the quality was perfect. Good wines from the region as well as... More

Chose this tapas restaurant after reading a recommendation in the Sunday telegraph. We were not disappointed, the waiter made lots of suggestions to help us decide, very busy and all the locals dine there which says something in itself, Does not look like much from the outside and our taxi driver told us not to roam about and wait for... You should not be scared by the warnings about the area, grab a taxi - problem fixed. Very good tapas, very good wines. Well worth the effort and money. Traditional environment.
