We recently dined 3 times at Casa Montaña during a stay in Valencia. Tapas we had include the ham, chorizo & cheese, the cod croquettes, the patatas bravas, the stuffed peppers, the fried sardines, the beans, the tomato salad and more. All the dishes we had were lovely. In fact, the humble tomato salad was one of the best vegetable... More

We had booked a table for Friday but it was the only place open on the Thursday so we ate then too! Simply the best tapas I have had. Huge variety of tapas - all fab. Highlights were the steak, anchovies and the amazing local cheese. Wine was really good too. If you want authentic tapas in Valencia in a... More

We had the most wonderful lunch at Casa Montana. The place is beautiful, authentic, the smell of sherry barrels hits you as you walk in. I loved everything about this place, including of course the food. The menu is perfect and has all the tapas you want and more. The quality of the produce they serve is very high standard... More

Everything related to casa Montaña is first grade. The place itself is a Valencian institution with over 100 years of history. The owners, Emiliano García and his son Alejandro manage the place in an exquisite way. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. There is always a great selection of wines, available by the glass or in bottles at very... More

We went to Casa Montana twice on our recent trip to Valencia and it was fantastic both times. The food, the charming service, the quality and variety of the wine were just amazing. The staff could not have been more helpful and spoke perfect English. The onion soup and boquerone were a couple of stand outs, but everything we ate... More

Near the beach in the fisherman's quarter. We ate mashed potato, garlic and cod (to die for), broad bean cooked in meat stock, potatas bravas, warm leek in truffle vinaigrette (gorgeous) codfish croquettes, red sausage, chorizo in cider and great bread. All washed down with excellent cheap local wine by the glass.

Fantastic Valencian institution - simply the best tapas and extensive wine list -ask for recommendations. The cecina de León is the best, so are the habas con jamón (broad beans with ham). As for the chocolate truffles -the best I have ever had! Light but so chocolatey. Because it was November 1st, Day of the Dead in Spain, they suggested... More
