We cycled through the city along the old river bed and then along the coast to this amazing long-established restaurant. We put in our order for Valencian Paella and then went back an hour or so later to have wonderful mussels and an Esgarrat salad as starters and then a fabulous paella. Fresh fruit and pumpkin Creme caramel followed plus... More

We had lunch in this restaurant on a sunday afternoon. The restaurant is situated nicely next to Malvorrosa beach. When we arrive at 13:30 the restaurant was already completely full with mostly Spaniards (I think they have around 150-200 seatings). From that moment we had no doubt that we would have a very good meal here and we didn't got... More

We were happy to have the last table in this nice restaurant where we passed by. For starters we had really great selection of grilled vegetables. Excellent white wine Verdil from Fontanars. Whilst being in valencia on our first day, we asked for Paella. Never knew valencian paella to have a nice crust. Excellent taste! We finished with carmel fluff... More

I went here because a local suggested it to me and I definitely wasn't disappointed! I've been living in Valencia for 2 months now, and I can honestly say that this is the best paella I have ever eaten. It was so good that I was still thinking about it for days after. Casa Carmela is a little on the... More

based on the reviews on tripadvisor, we expected more of our paella ; a 2 persons paella was somewhat more then a 1 person portion with too less fish, sorry !! the starter (fried fish) and the dessert were fine

Visited here as part of a large group on a stag do back in June. The food was absoultely faultless, we had a selection of seafood starters including octoupus, calamari and prawns followed by a huge paella for 10. Ive eaten a few paellas and but these were always quite average and I'm guessing they were rarley cooked fresh -... More
