Great location just across the road from the beach; lovely atmosphere decorated with local ceramic tiles (no longer made there unfortunately) and wonderful Lobster Paella. Our lunch ended at 5.00 PM which says it all perhaps...

This place was highly recommended to us, and with a reason. We had the most amazing lobster paella, absolutely delicious. The appetizers were OK but the reason to go is the paella. The taste, the presentation, everything. When in Valencia this is one restaurant you have to visit.

I had eaten here before but did not get round to reviewing this excellent restaurant then. I was entertaining a couple of friends who had not visited Valencia before and they wanted to experience a proper authentic paella in a traditional Valencian restaurant by the sea. This ticked all the boxes and did not disappoint,We had reserved a table thankfully as... Visited Casa Carmela because we wanted to try an authentic paella and didn't have time during our short stay to make the bus journey out to the Albufera as recommended. Easy to get to - get off the tram at Eugenia Vines then walk North along the Playa de Malvarossa beach. Nice surroundings - we sat on the terrace at... More

Recommended to me by my Spanish friends, this place was heaving with locals and tourists! Located by the beach, Casa Carmela serves up some of the best paella you will have the pleasure of eating in Valencia. The interior and exterior are as authentic as the food, the staff are polite and the food is reasonably priced! We tried the... More

As recommended by our hosts, this the authentic, or one the places for typical seafood and paella by wood fire. It is a lovely place with straight forward service that was propmt and proper. The food was delicious, the baby cuttlefish (although it was alittle diffcicult to eat around the content), the croquetas and the seafood paella was just lovely... More

Nothing special, and not really good chef, but fish still really fresh. Staff is ok, just average Spanish place.

We cycled through the city along the old river bed and then along the coast to this amazing long-established restaurant. We put in our order for Valencian Paella and then went back an hour or so later to have wonderful mussels and an Esgarrat salad as starters and then a fabulous paella. Fresh fruit and pumpkin Creme caramel followed plus... More

We had lunch in this restaurant on a sunday afternoon. The restaurant is situated nicely next to Malvorrosa beach. When we arrive at 13:30 the restaurant was already completely full with mostly Spaniards (I think they have around 150-200 seatings). From that moment we had no doubt that we would have a very good meal here and we didn't got... More

Fabulous atmosphere and lovely staff. Went into the kitchen to see the paella cooking on a huge wood stove. Lovely day
