Super!

I happened to walk along the little square with tables and chairs, not far from La Lonja. It was still very quiet at 1.30 pm but I decided to sit there and order a lunch anyway. What a surprise! A find located in a quiet part of the centre, Carosel is bursting with character and originality! The menu is short but very good. The quinoa salad was divine, the bread was gorgeous and possibly homemade and the pulp (octopus) was full of flavour and simply one of the best I have had. Service was good and the overall experience... More

I am normally a fairly picky eater, but I tried everything here...and liked it! Really creative tapas, great paella, and a light dessert to top it off. Great price for what you get, and even the kids had fun with all of the colors and textures.

Just brilliant. Only went for lunch should have gone for dinner but had already made reservation at the Delicat.(See my other review). Great food for a set lunch menu. They don't open until 1.30 so dont drink too much before your visit and go and enjoy.

Carosel is a find. There is a set menu of superb starters such as pumpkin orange soup, salad with fried fish skin followed by a rich rice entree and lovely desert. Highly recommend!

After waiting for 5 minutes at the one outdoor table in the shadow, a waiter came out, shouted and told us to move as this table was reserved. No sign on the table and he was not interested to give us one of the other free tables. We left. Food may be good, don't know....

We had 3 courses and each meal was an absolute pleasure: surprising combination of flavours, great food styling and friendly service. You wouldnt expect boeuf burgougnon in a meatball, or passion fruit as a gele with brownies. The only thing to regret is that we couldnt try other plates. I can just dream about octopus or a steak that must... More

Had a wonderful lunch there today. Had the set menu & instead of choosing one entrée you get them all & they were all delicious. You get so much you don't need the other 2 courses! Main of paella was good but paled beside the entrees. Dessert was excellent - v rich mix of a few little chocolate things which... More

A good place to taste typical but original food in Valencia. They change the menu everyday. The formula is: you get a table (literally) with several degustation stuff to share, and then you choose a main meal, mainly paella (any kind!) or other rice-based dishes. Price per person was 22 euros, including a bottle of red wine for two. Service... More

We had a nice lunch with good quality ingrediënts. Everythings was nicely and tastefully presented. Good service too. When the first course was presented one of the tapas was with mussles of which we are allergic. Without asking we got an alternative tapa. Very friendly.
