Quite hungry as walked to the Restaurant to find out where it was and were told it didn't open till 8.30pm. Went for a drink and a tapas dish of calamari and had a walk around. Ordered the Valevciaba Paella for two and a bottle of red ( not house red). We were informed the Paella is cooked fresh and... More

We had read up on a number of restaurants and bars in Valencia and this one absolutely lived up to expectations. The food was good - with an interesting choice - and a great list of Spanish wines. The staff were very helpful and pleasant; there wasn't an outside table when we arrived but we reserved one for 20 minutes... More

We went here in July for paella because of the previous reviews. We were bitterly disappointed. We've had paella in Barcelona, Tarragona, Seville and Granada. It was the worst by far. Nothing particular to say about it. It just had no flavour. It tasted a little like baked beans. Although I enjoy baked beans, this wasn't really what we were... More

Beeing for the first time in Valencia, we decided to try paella. We ashore yoou that this is the best place to try one. It's not a commertial, touristy place but a place where you can experience a real Valencia. We ate meat and vegetables paella which is typical for this area. Seafood one, as we were informed, is more... More

Tonight we had dinner at Bodego de la Sarieta hidden away near the Cathedral. We arrived just before opening time at 8:25pm and were the first to be there but the place soon filled up with a mixture of tourists and locals. We had 4 tapas (salty cod with peppers, roast green peppers, broad beans with chorizo and grilled cheese... More

This place came recommended to us by Valencia locals when we asked where was best to eat paella, and it didn't disappoint. The seafood paella we shared was huge, and full of fresh seafood. The staff were lovely and friendly and humoured our basic Spanish, and there were some lovely outdoor seats. I'd also highly recommend the pan con tomate... More

Had the Paella Valenciana which was delicious! The service was great too. That combined with the great atmosphere (the tables outside in the quiet, narrow street) makes it a winner. Oh, and not so expensive either!

....... it is a pity that a resto in such a central place serves so bad food ! Morcilla like a cream (buah !!!...) - croquetas de bacalao frozen (in the sense that the core was STILL frozen !!!!!!) not to speak about the poor jamon!!!!!
