Better inside than out!

Well that would be true of the food but as it happens it applies the premises too. True it is very pleasant outside on the lazy pavement but the crude charm of the spot comes to the forefront on the inside rooms. Its not posh or smart but the rural rustic style food is authentic, tasty and filling... read more

My husband took a trip to Barcelona with plans to drive all the way to Seville but I got sicked when we got there. Nonetheless, because I wanted to have paella from its origin, we drove to Valencia one afternoon. I compared many restaurants that serve paella in Valencia and I found Bodego de la Sarieta to have the best... More

In accordance with previous reviews, this restaurant in the vicinity of Valencia cathedral is a true gem! They offer typically Valencian food at a great price. Their tapas come in as rather large plates, so be careful when ordering. Their menues and possibilities of combining tapas are rather complicated, but our waiter was extremely patient and helpful to shed light... More

We heard about the Bodega de la Sarieta via tripadvsor. Quaint restaurant with a friendly staff. Our waiter spoke English well and made the experience very enjoyable. We enjoyed the taste of Spain which was very reasonably priced at 21 euros per person. The meal came with 9 or 10 tapas, and choice of rice. We had the Paella Valencia... More

After the first night we went at Bodego de la Sarieta for a second time because of l the deliciousness of all the dishes and the friendliness and courtesy of the staff. We ate a good Paella Valenciana (they say is a tradition of the restaurant from 33 years) and an extraordinary cod prepared in a sauce of "cooked garlic"... More

We were so glad to find this place. We had lunch outside. Food was awsome. Starters (tapas) were nicely arranged. Fresh food. Great service: the waiter (boss?) even took time to talk with us about the celebrations in March. We had ink rice, Valenciana paella and seafood paella (best bet). The regular paella tasted delightful. Full of flavours. I did... More

Good food and super-nice waiter. A lot of places will only make paella to order for at least two people, but I went here alone and they had no problem making a paella for me. And, again, the waiter was really nice.

Great little restaurant. We shared a pre fix menu and got a little taste of everything. Which might have been one of the best meals we have had in a while. The only complaint would be that our clothes smelled like paella for the next few days. Otherwise delish!!!

We went here because of the reviews, but it wasnt that special and for spain quite expensive. Paella with shellfish had only one flavour - salty and fishy - no vegetables. Baked camenbertwas fine, although very sweet sauce. You have to pay for bread - usually free in spain. Restaurant is very white - hospital like atmosphere. Not bad, but... More

I would definitely recommend the entrecote as main dish. The pepper sauce i tried was ok, but the meat was exceptionally soft and fresh and very well cooked. The salad with the goat cheese was also very good and we also tried the fried camembert with the jam and the paella valenciana. The service was very good and friendly and... More
