Ranked #13 of 2,000 Restaurants in Valencia
Certificate of Excellence 2014
Price range: $34 - $53
Dining options: Breakfast/Brunch, Dinner, Reservations, Delivery, Late Night
Description: Appetite is a small contemporary neighbourhood bistro situated in Ruzafa, within walking distance from the city centre. Our menu is based on local farm fresh produce and is inspired by flavours of the world, predominately from South East Asia with distinctive and definitive flavour combinations that crosses cultural boundaries with confidence without being labelled fusion. Our food concept is called OMAKASE which literally translates to ¨it´s up to the chef¨ in Japanese gastronomic culture. Our menu concept is intended to offer an experience in which guests can enjoy the inherent surprise of a tasting menu, while still maintaining some control by sharing personal preferences, including any ingredient dislikes or allergies which allows us to better create your meal. Our aim is to have happy customers return wanting more, our success is based on this principle. So, sit back, enjoy and “experience the difference” with us. Please note that Appetite offers a kids free space during dinner service but kids are most welcomed during our lunch service.

We went to Appetite on the recommendation of a local friend, and it did not disappoint! The concept of 'from the kitchen' food was fantastic and at €36 for 8 courses you cannot go wrong. Each dish was fantastically flavoured with authentic Thai spices. Courses included: mango and prawn ceviche, chicken empanadas, lamb sticky buns, scallop dim sum, etc The... More

I don't like writing bad reviews but in this case I think a fair appraisal's needed as we went to this restaurant because of all the positive reviews and the food was, I hate to say it, awful. The setup is a bit unusual, you pay a set price for 6-8 courses of their choosing and just let them know... More

If you come to Valencia you'd be crazy not to come here. We had the 8 course meal. We gave them a challenge with one of our friends being vegetarian and 3 of us not wanting beef or seafood. It has to be said that each course surpassed the previous one and each was a culinary masterpiece. The desert was... More

My colleagues and I visited this busy lrestaurant in a monday. Service is rapid and comes with sweet and sour soup. Thai menu that we had came as spicy as we ordered on a scale of 1-5; we chose 3! . Service was prompt and our drinks were delicious. The food was fresh cooked and attention to detail could be... More

This was our fourth visit to this wonderful restaurant. As always it was the highlight of our trip to Valencia. There is nothing that can be faulted, the staff are wonderful and attentive and the service is fantastic. Every dish that is served is a culinary masterpiece. This is a must go to restaurant.

My family and I were very fortunate to have found Appetite during our travels in Valencia during a recent visit. As vegetarians, they managed to surprised us with steamed dumplings, delicious thai salads, even soup as we requested. It is truly a delight to have discovered Appetite, and I do hope you will too.

As vegetarians, it is always alittle limited when we travel abroad. We were so happy we found Appetite as we managed to eat so well, attention from the floor staff was excellent. It really made our trip and we cannot recommend it high enough to all, vegetarians or seafood lovers.

We were actually trying for a different restaurant when we stumbled upon this one. They offer you a choice of two menus one with 6 dishes and one with 8. The price is very reasonable and the service is great. I'm still trying to understand the cuisine. They had Japanese, Chinese, Indian,Thai and middle eastern influences. I think following a... More

We were lucky enough to have found this place through TA. With over 750 reviews, we thought it must be good....it was GREAT!! It does not feature a menu that one can choose from, but they do great things here, the ceviche was excellent!!! And the service the best we have had for a long time.
