Very expensive and not tasty at all. We had the Valencia Paella was marginal and was overloaded with rosemary. The mussels were OK and the wine. Inside was very noisy. Make sure you eat outside as this is the best part of the restaurant. Great view of the wall and Church.

There were no tables left on the reservation page of the website, but we tried anyway. The friendly multilingual staff found us a small table for 3. And then the fiesta began ! I'm sure you can try any dish on the menu and not regret it. We had great tuna, and a very good paella. Good food at a... More

A great seafood paella in a city of stiff competition. Service attentive but not overbearing my sons entrecôte was a little to bloody back to the kitchen no drama!! Puddings are absolutely cosmic. Sangria best I've had so far. The kiss of death was 75 euros great value.

It's right in the center but it's not a touristic place. Paella is so good. Good service! High quality!

As has been somewhat highlighted in previous reviews the service we experienced was very poor indeed and the staff seem to perhaps be the most arrogant and unaccommodating I have ever come across. It does appear that a few positive reviews on said website have gone to their heads and they now seem somewhat content making their customers' stay border... More

In the first place the personnel faced some issues trying to find a table for us (please, note that we had booked in advance), only to find a long wait before we were able to order. Despite all these initial inconveniences, we had a wonderful experience at Candela. Besides the usual offerings of every other Spanish restaurant in Valencia, the... More

We were in Valencia and wanted to have a nice dinner of Paella. We had walked past the restauraunt several times and saw the food people were eating outside. It always looked delicious so we decided to go. It was worth it!! The food is "Buenisimo" and the staff is delightful. Every time we return to Valencia this restaurant is... More

The food was great. We had squid and octopus to start and then monkfish with prawns and swordfish for main all beautifully cooked. They have two restaurants on the same street one you can sit outside and the other more of a 'restaurant' sitting inside. both are very good as we have been here before last September and knew it... We ordered 4 tapas plates: Anchoas caseras, Chipirones con ajo, Timbal de Ahumados and Pimiento stuffed. We chose a Valencia region wine: Venta del Puero. Dessert was Helado de zanahoria. Anchovies, with slivers of garlic, delicious; the baby squid with garlic, excellent. The timbal was a slice of smoked salmon wrapped around a scoop of avocado, corn etc. Delicious as... More
