Restaurante del Carmen in the historic quarter of Valencia is known for its seasonal cooking with high quality ingredients, careful presentation, friendly and informal service and its excellent value for money. All of the dishes are made in-house, including the desserts. The seasonal menu always has a selection of rice, fish and meat dishes and a wide variety of vegetarian options. The ambience is intimate but lively, with two dining rooms. There is a carefully designed wine list and a wide variety of infusions and the restaurant also offers food and wine matching dinners and special menus for groups.

Welcoming, excellent service and simply wonderful food - spicy and original! We were looking for a restaurant close to our apartment as after running the marathon nobody wanted to walk far. Had the eu12 set menu lunch yesterday. The duck&apple appetizer was wonderful. Main as fish & udon noodles, nice flavours. Welcoming staff, explained menu in English.

Tasty 3 course lunch for 12 euros. Fusion style worked well - food interesting and delicious. Service excellent.

We had a really nice evening and the food was just exquisite. I can definitively recommend the red tuna, but the rest of our party seamed to enjoy their meals as well.

Had lunch with a colleague from 4 years ago. Absolutely amazing. True Spanish food, friendly staff & excellent value. €15 for the set meal. Can't wait to go back there.

We tried this small but cozy restaurant in Valencia's ancient city centre. The food was just great: the monkfish was nicely cooked and the red tuna an emotion for our tongues. Negative point: a couple of dishes were unavailable when we went there but I guess this was due to the period (end of August).

This restaurant is great. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the menu is creative, the food is really well cooked and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The pork was the winner on the day but every starter and main was excellent.

Lots of great reviews so we went (and it was open on a Sunday in August). VERY expensive for the quality of the food, the atmosphere and the service. Food - over ambitious and the prices matching some of the top restaurants in Valencia. I had spicy lamb skewer. I like my lamb pink but not raw in the middle.... More
