Alright... So, I end up in Valencia for just one night, totally unplanned... and so happy about it! And it was a Saturday.... The next day, it is raining, and we stay at the hotel until very late... Actually, didn't know it was late... the Legal Time had changed... :-) In any event, around lunch time figure it's time to... More

Our best meal in Valencia. The restaurant is traditional with lovely Spanish tiling, and the tables are very spacious. Starters of smoked sardines and fried squid were lovely, but the paella was the star of the show. We had the Valencian paella of chicken, rabbit, snails and vegetables - really delicious, but sadly left no room for the homemade desserts.... More

It was only on my 3rd visit to Valencia that I discovered Raco del Turia. My first meal at the restaurant was a Fideua mariscos - a first for me. It was excellent. Juicy, delicious and somehow I did not feel heavy. As a lover of rice dishes, I resolved myself to return before the end of the Fallas. I... More

I had heard tons of reviews and recommendations for this place. So me and 15 others decided to go. I had heard it was one of the best in Valencia for paella. On arrival we learnt very quickly that it was a very expensive restaurant. The paella we ordered was ok but certainly not worth the money we paid. You... More

This restaurant came as a recommendation from the Westin Hotel and we were very pleased with our experience. Food was excellent, wine list was very good. The only reason that it wasn't 5 stars was the wait staffs inability to notice when guests needed something. I needed to resort to actually calling: "excuse me" to get their attention on 2... More

My wife and went here for dinner the other night and it was PERFECT. We had thr chicken and rabbit paella and the brownie for dessert. The ambiance was soft and warm, decorated in a traditional Valencian style, service was impeccable and honest to goodness, thus was the BEST paella we have ever had (and maybe the best meal we... The traditional Valencia paella with chicken, rabbit, vegetables and snails was delicious. The waiter recommended a lovely tempranillo wine. The setting is very romantic and an elderly couple nearby had chosen the location to celebrate an anniversary (they were really cute). However, the waiters were obviously overwhelmed and we waited 20 minutes before they even took our drink orders and... More

Whilst in Valencia we wanted to visit a traditional restaurant where we could try the local cuisine not just general Spanish food. We were not disappointed as the food we ordered was excellent as was the wine. The decor is old world Spain and the service was very good. It is close to the bullring and the station and was... More

Went to this family-run traditional restaurant on recommendation of our hotel and we were given a very friendly welcome. The menu is available separately in Spanish and English and they gave us one of each because they realised I could speak Spanish. The menu was fantastic, including some well-priced 3-course etc menus del día. But we had come here for... More
