Taste of Catalan in Valencia

Flew in from New Jersey and functioning on 3hours of sleep, I decided to walk a bit to wake up and find a bite to eat and done wine. Found Sagardi and their pintxos were just right! Basque style tapas; good variety and good wine to go with it. I was early and it was not crowded, but started to... read more

We popped in here for lunch during our trip and the pinxtos were so good, we came back for a light evening bite to evening on another day. Wine is excellent, food was delicious and staff were extremely helpful (we were novices on our first trip). We still talk about some of the dishes we had there - I think... More

This place is great. We went there on our first day in Valencia, and due to our lack of Spanish speaking abilities we were somewhat confused by the system. In the end we decided to just have a drink there that time. There's a huge selection of wines, several great beers and cider from fancy barrels. The atmosphere is great,... More

We stopped at Sagardi for a quick meal after the Mascletas. It was the first time I tried pinchos and I absolutely loved them. There was a huge variety of pinchos, each looked more delicious than the other, so it was a though choice what to eat. The staff is really nice, although none of them speak a word of... More

We had the pinxtos here and glass of house wine and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The house wine is one of the better house whites I've had in all of Valenia and very good value (€3 per glass), and the pinxtos were very tasty and all priced at €2 each. They are mainly bread based, but... More

We set on the ground floor, where tapas and wine are served. The tapas was great, a huge selection we had never before. We loved it all, tapas were very fresh and inovative. The place was crouded and lively. We will be back!

The food was great. We had the cote de boeuf for 3 persons, twice the duck and a tuna tartare. The side salads were a bit dull however the main dishes definitely compensated. Our server who took the order only cared about upselling. He tried to sell dishes even though we told him several times what we wanted instead. For... More

We went to Sagardi on our first evening in Valencia. We were staying in the area and hotel staff recommended it. Our Spanish is not good but we we're welcomed and staff were friendly and helpful, we were recommended a bottle of Rioja by one of the staff which was delicious, we only really intended to go in for a... When you are doing your walk in the center of Valencia,it is difficult not to notice this very well decorated tapas bar and restaurant. On the ground floor is the tapas bar. There is a bench from where you pick up your tapas. Also the waiters are serving freshly made tapas. This is a different and interesting way of pleasing your... More

I like good meal for good price. Here my dinner was not so nourishing but rather expensive. I took roasted beaf and salad. Beaf steak wasn't juicy enough, however I asked about it. Atmosphere is rather pleasant.
