just one very small 'but'

Time I think for another review, seeing as we have been eating here pretty regularly during our most recent visit to the area. The first thing we noticed on our return was the shiny new menu. If you only eat in one place in villajoyosa try here, Recommended on tripadvisor and always busy even in December, Decided to go for the 10 euro tapas mix, just fantastic great selection of traditional spanish with a modern twist,Then to follow taps desserts for 1 euro each again a fantastic selection all washed down with very good reasonably priced... Recommended to us by Heiki, an excellent choice! with great tapas. We made a reservation, mentioning that I am a vegetarian, and they really 'pulled out the stops', even turning off the floodlight when we asked (not very romantic). A very capable and friendly team - see photo. Oh the deserts were scrummy too, and reasonably priced. Our whole meal... More

Serves fantastic food at reasonable prices. Top quality ingredients, beautifully prepared. 2 courses for 2 plus (plenty)house wine and water was about £40 including tip. This place is always busy so if you want a seat on the terrace you should book. Wine prices are reasonable and the very inexpensive house wine is excellent.

The tapas selection on the menu is certainly the best I have seen at a ludicrously low price. Maybe not a place for a serious night out, but for an al fresco lunch on the beach you could not do better. Suggest you choose your own rather than take their selection, particularly if you have any dietary requirements, but that... More

excellent variety of tasty and innovative tapas - not that expensive - for my wife who is gluten tolerant they offered a very similar variety of tapas but guaranteed safe regarding gluten content - that is rare to find ! looks also interesting to take your kids as 1/4 of the surface of the restaurant is a play ground for... First time in El Posit whilst holidaying in Vila , went on recommendation from some locals who advised us on the menu . Excellent range on the menu to suit all tastes , every dish was lovely but my favourite was the slow cooked beef served on a bed of mashed potato . Had a table in the window overlooking... More

Good recommendation spread out quickly. Did not look at the menu but went for the tapas selection. 8 dishes well composed. Excellent personnel told about each dish in Spanish. We took the recommended red wine; the most expensive one. 26 euro was worth every cent. Santa Rosa 2009, Enrique - Mendoza was simply astonished knowing it was a Alicante wine... More

I was here a couple of weeks ago, after reading about it on TA..Tried to drop in for a Sunday lunch, but they were fully booked. So if you want to eat here it is best to drop in the day before especially at the weekends. The food was excellent. The 8 tapas for 10 Eur was excellent value for money and... More

We ate here based on the good reviews on Tripadvisor, but really if you want to eat good tapas, there are so many other restaurants/bars in town who will offer a better (and more authentic, if this is important to you) experience. Try La Cerveceria Gambrinus, opposite the petrol station for example, where you will find truly authentic Villajoyosa dishes,... More
