I recently returned to Calpe for our holidays and visited El Faro again. Unfortunately they are no longer doing full menus but the atmosphere is still fantastic and Ian and Brigitte welcomed us like old friends. We enjoyed a few pleasant afternoons there and enjoyed meeting up with people we met last year and making some new friends as well.... More

A Tranqill oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the sea front bars. A place to meet, relax, chat and drink with your friends and the owners.

I moved to Calpe 18 months ago & discovered the pub El Faro in a quite little oasis. There I met the friendly owners Ian & Brigitte who are constantly there no staff just their personal attention at all times. I met some marvellous people there who are now my best friends in Calpe, & of course we regularly meet... More

We have just returned from one of our fairly regular trips to Calpe, complete with its inevitable visit to El Faro and drinks and chat with Brigitte and Ian, and I can confirm that we were as happy to be there as when I posted my previous review two years ago. It's friendly, helpful and interesting - a pleasant experience,... More

We were taken to El Faro in May and would highly recommend if you are in the area. Ian and Brigitte are the prefect hosts and make you feel so welcome. It has a fabulous atmosphere and we are looking forward to returning and maybe experiencing the food if it is available again.

El Faro is a great place to visit to chill out with friendly customers and excellent hosts. The bar itself is wonderfully situated in La Manzanera, probably the prettiest urbanization in Calpe. An easy stroll into the old town but private and secluded enough to feel special. Ian and Brigitte go that extra mile to make new clients feel at... More

A must to visit nowhere in Spain have we been made more welcome. Ian and Bridgette have always made our holiday something special, we visit every May and our first point of call is El Faro. This year however it was a little disappointing to see the excellent food was not being served Ian did explain his reason and hoped... More

The people who own this place are very friendly. We were looking for the place to go jetskiing and they told us it was another 30 minutes on foot. But they were so nice to give us a ride plus the owner even came back to pick us up after the jetskiing. Also the drinks were served very cold which... More

On a hot day in Calpe 5 friends and I wanted to rent some jetskis in a bay nearby and we lost our way a bit. We asked for some help in El Faro and they drove us to the place of the jetskis and after they picked us up again for free! The drinks after were also very nice!... More
