You get lots and great tapas at in many bars. The Gaucho makes a big difference due to its combination of ingrediences and presentation. Excellent food freshly prepared, enjoy.
Fantastic charming bar where they serve Pinchos (tapas in the Basque way). The pinchos are fantastic decorated and made, and the taste is fantastic. The size of meal can be chosen from only a small bite to a large dinner. It can be crowded here, and there is a reason why... They have tables (ok, you might be standing) both... More
You just have to taste it. There is nothing like that. Is a little crowded because it is that good. When a bar is empty is because you have nothing there to taste, at least nothing special. This bar is the best of Pamplona to take dinner with "pintxos" (like the "tapas", is a piece of bread with something special... More
We were in Pamplona 3 days and went every night for Tapas and our evening drink (The seared foie gras with salt on bread was sensational) . We thought the staff were very polite considering all the orders they had to remember and we met some very friendly and nice locals - good location, lots of ambiance and typically basque.... More
Dropped in here for a nightcap on way to hotel. We'd brandies all over Spain at prices ranging from 2.50 euro to 3.50. Here they charged 4.65. Were we ripped off ? Most of the other customers seemed to be locals. Is there a tourist and a local price ?
Very small bar, serving fantastic tapas. Impolite staff, but the food made up for it. Many other good tapas bars in the area, makes a culinary adventure easy.
Bar Gaucho is just a great place to soak up the local culture and whole pinxto experience. The locals are friendly and the atmosphere is something to experience for travellers from the other side of the world (especially Australians who generally love a drink and good fun). The range of flavours in the pinxtos is surprising and it's all good.... More
It is a small place, so can feel a bit stuffy, but the great tapas were worth it. It was recommended to us by our hotel & we were glad to have visited. They had a nice variety of different tapas which we appreciated. Great choice!
The bar was very busy when we were there and you may need some patience. However, 5 fabulous pintos (1 was food gras) and a bottle of good red wine for €26. Great atmosphere and very efficient service. This has every reason to be popular. If you don't like what you see, have a drink and wait for the next... More
