We tried this because every mention of Pamplona includes pinchos, but I'm not persuaded yet. Years ago when we first tried tapas in Spain they were circles of stale bread with curling ham on top, rather like the much derided railway sandwiches we used to have. This time I tried a Rillette de Pota; I expected duck and got a... More

We went for a tapas dinner. The bartender was very friendly and helpful, especially with my wife, a vegetarian. He brought us vegetarian croquets, a tortilla, grilled mushrooms, and a cheese soufflé. I had octopus and beef lasagna tapas, both of which were very good. We left full without having spent more than 20 euros. The place definitely has the... More

Living is Spain as a vegetarian has its challenges, and for me, they are most apparent when traveling north. The pintxo: A piece of bread with yummy stuff on it. I'll never understand why more of these can't be vegetarian. But Bar Gaucho has tortilla (obviously) and also some mushrooms (champioñes) that are grilled and served with a drizzle of... More

Recommended to us by a local as the best place to go for pintxos and drinks in town. It was certainly the best place we visited. I loved the truffle, egg and fried potato pintxo. Yum.

Here you can taste one of the best potatoes omelette in Spain, as many people consider it. Well, it's quite tasty but, it's a bit dare to say this. If you visit Pamplona consider to visit this place.

There is not a lot I can add to the other comments. This bar is legendary for its gourmet-like but affordable tapas and pinchos. I have not had one single bad pincho here, they always come up with new recipes and have some beloved classics. To be honest, I have a hard time recommending anything in particular because everything there... More

Went there with the family and found a table in the corner. We ate well and drank well. Their G&T's are a labour of love. My wife read a review in the Telegraph and it was worth the visit. The food was delectable and the service was spot on. If you are in Pamplona, take the time for a visit.

We tried about a half dozen tapa places in Pamplona, and Bar Gaucho was our clear favorite. There was a large selection of tapas, including some unusual things, and they were all well prepared and fresh. We also found the atmosphere great: locals and tourists, and a terrific Australian bartender. We liked it so much we went back the next... More

Some weird and wonderful pintxos in the centre of Pamplona and logically crowded. For meat eaters the grilled foie is obligatory, while a host of other flavours will tempt you to forget about a sit down dinner. Not for solitary diners.

The narrow streets of Pamplona are littered with a multitude of pintxo bars, this one is more traditional in feel. Located a few yards from the main square & the bustling Estafeta street. Each time I visited Pamplona, this was one I often popped into, stuffed with a mix of locals & tourists. Food & drink are fairly priced, can... More
