We went to Otano without a reservation on Saturday night during StFermin 2014. A really busy night and a very popular street. We were assured of a table as long as we would wait a while. We were happy do do this as we had eaten in Otano twice previously and very much enjoyed our meals. while waiting we enjoyed... More

We were in a family meeting. Quality and preparation of food was really bad. Menestra of vegetables not tasty and poor preparation, meat not good at all, and we were supposed to be in a grill restaurant specialized on meat. All members of family very deceived. The restaurant was crowded and very noisy, even difficult to hold a conversation without... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by hotel staff in the area, and we were very pleased! We came in late Wednesday night and were able to get a great meal late (the food was cleared at ~11pm). The pintxos were delicious, especially the squid dishes. Each one was 2.5E and wine was 1E/glass. We did not stop in Thursday,... More

We stumbled on Otano by luck (recommended by waiter at San Fermin, which was packed). Great prix fix with way too many great choices and excellent value at 15€/3 course lunch meal, VAT included. The place was packed with locals, who obviously have many other choices. For appetizers, the seafood soup and the cured salmon were delicious. Amazing entrees too:... More

Ate tapas and had a few red wines the food was outstanding and the service was very good, we should have stayed there but we went to meet friends at Gaucho Bar and were we disappointed, three of us suffered food poisoning and it ended our Camino.

It was one of the best meals I have had in Spain, and I lived for 5 years in that country. The menu for the evening was delicious. I had grilled vegetables with cheese sauce. Duck breast in Oporto sauce and Cramberries, as dessert "torrijas" with icea cream. We had a very good wine and coffees. I was invited so... More

Stopped in for a glass of wine and had one of the best tortilla's I have ever eaten. Busy atmosphere, mainly locals inside, wish we had stayed and not gone on to the next place.

This really is one of the best restaurants to visit in the city! If you re looking for a special dinner come here it has excellent service and food and a contemporary and elegant theme. We were here for a special family meal but you could see around us couples and also business groups so they are clearly accustomed to... More

Five of us ate dinner at the Casa Otano in their upstairs restaurant. When I am in Spain I always eat "costillas de cordero" which are tiny lamb ribs. They were delicious at the Otano, as was the mixed salad full of fresh and wonderful goodies, and the "fritos variados" we ordered while considering what to order for dinner. Dessert... More

Arriving at 8pm (coincidentally at the same time as another couple) we were told that the restaurant did not open until 9pm. This is ridiculous in a town that relies on tourists. They do not seem to realise that restaurants (for example) exist for the benefit of their customers, NOT the other way round. It is a good example of... More
