The little pinxto's where pieces of art here - nothing like in the other places. If you're in Pamplona, this is a MUST see place! Highly recommended - I will certainly go back there!

Our Pamplona base being in the old town, and our legs tired from doing a short stretch of the Camino del Santiago, our group of two families had little energy to look beyond the old city walls for dinner ... we were fortunate to find the Casa Otano. We had no reservations, but after grabbing a few pintxos and a... More

For English travellers the restaurant opens at 9pm and is closed Sundays. I went on a Monday and was told a reservation was not necessary. The restaurant was full however by 10pm so I strongly recommend a reservation if you are going Friday or Saturday. The food is typical Spanish. My lamb chops were the best I have eaten for... More

We got a tip from Spanish ladies on the street for a good restaurant. And what is better than a suggestion from locals? We had no reservation but we still managed to get a good table for 4 and a baby stroller. Two of us shared a menu, which was absolutely no problem and the two others had only the... More

We went to Otano without a reservation on Saturday night during StFermin 2014. A really busy night and a very popular street. We were assured of a table as long as we would wait a while. We were happy do do this as we had eaten in Otano twice previously and very much enjoyed our meals. while waiting we enjoyed... More

We were in a family meeting. Quality and preparation of food was really bad. Menestra of vegetables not tasty and poor preparation, meat not good at all, and we were supposed to be in a grill restaurant specialized on meat. All members of family very deceived. The restaurant was crowded and very noisy, even difficult to hold a conversation without... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by hotel staff in the area, and we were very pleased! We came in late Wednesday night and were able to get a great meal late (the food was cleared at ~11pm). The pintxos were delicious, especially the squid dishes. Each one was 2.5E and wine was 1E/glass. We did not stop in Thursday,... More

We stumbled on Otano by luck (recommended by waiter at San Fermin, which was packed). Great prix fix with way too many great choices and excellent value at 15€/3 course lunch meal, VAT included. The place was packed with locals, who obviously have many other choices. For appetizers, the seafood soup and the cured salmon were delicious. Amazing entrees too:... More

It was one of the best meals I have had in Spain, and I lived for 5 years in that country. The menu for the evening was delicious. I had grilled vegetables with cheese sauce. Duck breast in Oporto sauce and Cramberries, as dessert "torrijas" with icea cream. We had a very good wine and coffees. I was invited so... More
