We read about this restaurant in the tapas route booklet in the hotel. We went to try the signatures tapas but were brought more - but this was fine as they were great. We were charged a special price which i can only assume was in relation to the tapas route. The waitress did tell us what everything was. The... More

Having no place picked out, we walked by, glanced at the menu on the wall and walked in. My wife did pinxos and I the 11 Euro 3 course and wine menu. Both were outstanding. We'll go again.

We went there twice, once for the pintxos (the word they use in northern Spain for tapas) and once to the restaurant. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The servers were efficient and knowledgeable. In most pintxos bars you have to go to the counter to choose the food, but here you sit down and are brought a menu,... More

We spent three days in Pamplona, and I can say this was the best restaurant or pinchos place we have been to. The first time we went there at lunch for pinchos, and tried 4 each, with a glass of wine. The dishes are very interesting, very accurate and stylish. We spent 15€ each. The waitress was very kind and... More

We arrived bere just for chance. 3 types of choice: tapas e raciones served at the "bar" and menu à la carte in the restaurant. Better booking in advance if you want to sit in the restaurant. Excellent quality, presentation and kindness (we dont speak spanish and they tried to explain us each dish).

If you are looking for good food, away from tapas this is a good alternative. We where surprised by very delicate dishes and taste. Highly recommended. Good value.

We were lucky enough to get a table for 6 on a busy day during the running of the bulls . We arrived at 2 and were the only table filled for close to an hour and then the whole restAurant filled with locals celebrating their festival. Tasting menu was 50 eu. 3 good size courses with a selection of... More

We arrived in Pamplona on a Friday afternoon during a motorcycle tour of northern Spain. We intended to stay for 1 night, and really struggled to find a hotel with availability. Eventually, we had to stay slightly outside of the main city at the NH hotel, but the staff wholeheartedly recommended “La Cocina De Alex Mugica”. We also discovered that... More

Pamplona is a wonderful city for gourmets, but this one is somthing special. First of all is a modern restaurant in a traditional building. It is in the basement of the famous HOTEL LA PERLA taht hosted Ernest Hemingway on his frequents visits to Pamplona. Steering the wheels, an innovative Alex Mugica, that blends flavours strikingly well. Not a big... More

If you are in Pamplona, we recommend that you tried the tapas of "La Cocina De Alex Mugica". You won't find them on top of the bar - you will have to order each tapa separately, which is then freshly prepared for you, and nicely and imaginatively presented: We had a creation involving sardines which were served in a dish...
