Our 3rd visit here in a year, must say that serving standards are slipping, even when it was nothing like as busy this visit. Took a long time for our waiter to take our drinks order and get them on the table. The starter order was not fully served and one diner had to wait whilst a replacement was provided.... More

After the usual wait to be served….four staff on their phone. Interesting floors inside and worth having a look around the interior. I enjoyed a table outside with a most enjoyable (and generous) warm artichoke salad and a few beers. Not expensive. Extensive menu - no difficulty to find something to eat. If this is the best in the city... More

Dear Sir, It is such a pity!!...it does not matter at all the effort you put in satisfying your guest, having a nice place and giving the best food according to your possibilities if the service is not that great. And do you know what is even worst?? That we here at La Catedral know that. And to go even... More

La Catedral is situated just in the middle of the city very near the Roman Theatre. The setting and the service is excellent. You got a lot of very nice food. We shared both the courses and still could not eat it all so we strongly recomend you to shared courses.

Dear Madam, Thanks a lot for your visit, and the time you took to write your nice comment. As you said, the best option when having lunch with us is sharing the starters, or even better, follow the waiter recommendation on, and always call in advaced to make the reservation. I hope we will see you again soon, Best regards,... More

It is a cozy, well decorated and pleasant site. The staff is young and dynamic, good deal. The menu focuses mainly on tuna and beef, so you are missing something more variety. the quality is good, and the presentation too. the price is adjusted.

Dear customer, Thank you very much for your visit and your nice comment. Nevertheless, I have to point out that in our main meats we use pork, beef (as you said) and ox; and in our main fishes seabass, seabrim, tuna and cod. Tuna is our main speciality as fish because I was setting tuna farms all around the world ,... More

Fabulous quirky restaurant with seriously good food. The owner, Joaquin, is a man of many parts, and very welcoming. His enthusiasm for everything he does, including personally excavating the roman well under the (glass) floor of the restaurant, would have made it worth the visit even if the food hadn't been so spectacular. The starter simply described as a bird's... More

While in Cartagena on a cruise visit, we took time out from our historic sightseeing and had a wonderful lunch at La Catedral. I had read good things about this restaurant ahead of time and it certainly didn't disappoint. We were there a little early (around 1:30) so we had the whole place to ourselves. We shared an excellent and... More

Will definitely recommend that you go here, a fantastic location in lovely Cartagena directly off the Main Street at the Roman Theatre. Four of us had tasty and flavoursome food and the setting and staff were excellent. Don't hesitate, just go whenever you get the chance. Cost us 40 euros a head for drinks, 3 courses and nice wine, happy... More

A warm October Saturday evening in Catagena. Add to that a lovely meal in a fabulously restored old building and it's difficult to imagine what else you could want. Lots of beef on the menu, I had fish which was beautifully cooked. Wine was reasonably priced, for 3 of us the main course, a shared pudding, coffee and wine came... More

Adjacent to exit from the Roman Ampitheatre, this amazing restaurant is a must visit destination. It opens at 12.30pm on weekdays for drinks with lunch service from 1.30pm. This is an architecturally interesting restaurant since you can walk on glass and under it you can see the antiquities. It is a boutique restaurant with a few dishes very well selected and prepared, along with a good selection of local wines. Dear Anna, Really nice to receive your comment and see that you liked both the food and the place, and of course the service.
