We might had too high expecations for this restaurant, as it were rated as nr.1 in Cartagena at current time. Location is probably the best in the region. Positives first: - great iberico. - perfect beef, both sirloin and entrecôte. - nice atmosphere. Negatives: - pre-made bread. The kind you can get frozen in the supermarket. - Wipped cream was... I took 24 golfers here for dinner and we had an amazing time. We pre-ordered the starters and then everyone had two choices for mains. Everyone was blown away by the quality of the food and the high level of service. This place just keeps getting better. Thank-you for a very special evening.

We visited La Catedral with a small group of colleagues for a leisurely dinner. We started with shared starters all of which were very good and some excellent. They included tuna tataki (good), a goat cheese with confit tomatoes (excellent), chipirones in chili oil (excellent), salad trufada with alcachocfas (good), croquetas (unusual but very good). Mains were various types of... More

We were trying to find a nice place for lunch. This was close and in a well updated old building. Servers spoke several languages, which made ordering easy. Very good service and food.

Dear Ruth, Thank you very much to choose La Catedral for your day out, and consider us one of your special restaurants. As you saw, we have done an archeological research in all the floors of this old building, where the walls are 80 cmtrs width, so sometimes the aerial signal is lost. Well, happy to see that you really... More

Pablo and team continue to impress with service levels and amazing food, lots of thought go into the preparation and presentation of each dish. So much so this gem of a restaurant will be the venue for my 50th birthday celebrations later this year. Been in here a few times now and thoroughly recommend you experience it for yourself.

At first point this review was going to be so NEGATIVE.. Called for a drink at an interesting place to be told we could not sit inside due to not having a meal. Very overpriced drinks, sitting outside on a windy day. Lovely setting inside and required viewing but were asked to sit outside for no reason because the place... More

Dear Gordon, First of all, thank you very much for coming to La Catedral to enjoy even just a few frinks with us, and even more for staying after this first-not-so-friendly wellcome. Please, let me explain to you. As you see during the little guided tour in which I took you, the main saloon is quite small, so when is... More

We sat outside the bar in the sunshine after climbing the steps up to the Roman Ampitheatre, and enjoyed a few beers and some tapas. The service was excellent.
