Memorable Cigalas!

Cigalas is crayfish in Spanish. Sacha cooks the crayfish in Vermouth and white wine, with roasted garlic and leeks. It is a dish that I had never tasted before, and it will be on my table if I get to visit Madrid again!

My daughter and I had lunch at Sacha's at the recommendation of another Madrid chef. We're so glad we did. Sacha asked our preferences and made us a wonderful meal. Smoked sardines an white garlic sauce, a perfect sirloin and incredible dessert. The service was very good; the food incredible. The crowd was primarily business men and women. There is... More

Although we thought we were very comfortable with spanish menus this one through us. They did not have a English menu and the server who came to help us knew only a few words of English Somehow we managed to put together an acceptable combinations of dishes, which were outstanding. However the seeming lack of care for people struggling with... More

Sacha is a place where you expect to have great food and service and so far they have never disappointed. Had a dinner with collegues from out of town and everyone really enjoyed the meal. Market fresh food, simply but deliciously prepared. Great wine and cava. What I also love about Sacha is that although it is white glove service,... More

We recently enjoyed a luncheon in the very attractive Sacha. It is definitely a "find" in Madrid. The food is excellent and the staff efficient and courteous. We would always recommend Sacha to visitors.

The best ingredients expertly prepared. A perfect meal. Wine list is limited, but the wines are of good quality and fairly priced. The maitre d' was very amiable and solicitous of our needs; and the service was otherwise correct. Our best, of many good meals, in Madrid.

We thought this place was going to be excellent, especially since the owner greeted us with enthusiasm and since the location was so beautiful and full of locals. However, the waitstaff is a detriment to this restaurant, and the food, while good, cannot overcome such a painful shortcoming. The weird part is, I don't even consider myself very judgmental on... Last night my wife, Barbara had a fresh tomato salad in very light balsamic vinaigrette that was perfection followed by beef marrow and beef. She was on the verge of being orgiastic. I had the fried artichokes - paper thin slices of baby artichokes fried in olive oil that had the texture of potato chips but were pure artichoke flavor.... More

I think we went on a bad day which I am taking into consideration as we had such high hopes and knew some of the people who had given it five star reviews. Sacha is not the easiest restaurant to find even with GPS as it is at the rear of where it should be and is hidden away in... More
