we had one night in Madrid and happily I found Algarabia online. This is one of my top dining experiences ever, anywhere! You must eat here. The food is delicious, the setting beautiful and the experience with the two sisters is the pure joy of dining at Algarabia. They have a passion for pleasing their customers and they spent time... I came here with my girlfriend for dinner on January 24, 2015. The dinner card, at a first look, seems quite simple and typically spanish (with some specialities from La Rioja Province) However, the food tasted excellent and it could not have been better. We were offered some aperitives along with the food we ordered. The starter I had was... More

We were a group of 4 in Madrid for new year and 2 of our friends had suggested this lovely restaurant to us. Booking by email was easy and the restaurant easy to find. Whilst it does feel like you are in someone's front room rather than a restaurant, this just adds to the atmosphere and anything else would feel... More

Quirky!! What a great definition for our restaurant. Anyone seeking a normal place will be disappointed. A friend says we had to be protected "as endangered species". Many thanks for recommending us. Isabel y Pilar More

This place is unusual and very pleasant. It is run by two sisters with strong links to Rioja-land. One is the chef (who also takes lovely photos when she travels!) and the other is front of house. This is not your mass-market chain and is highly one-of-a-kind. We turned up a touch early at 9:25pm and had to ring the... More

We were fortunate to get a reservation for a late lunch. We were the only folks there and the two hosts were really friendly and sociable. Despite our best effort not to order too much food, the recommendations won us over. The appetizer cucumber soup was very refreshing, I can imagine eating this for summer too. The most memorable dishes... More

Go to this restaurant. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is wonderful, the sisters are fantastic, the wine is great. This is a small restaurant run by two sisters for 19 years. It is a true experience- truly personal dining. The food is impeccable and the service is lovely and attentive. From starters (including the house made pate that was... More

One of our best dining experiences EVER! Everything we ate was excellent and Isabel and Pilar were such wonderful and gracious hosts. Our restaurant is not luxurious but familiar and cozy and our way of dealing with our customers is quite personal. When somebody like you understands it so much that becomes a friend we forget even the economical crisis! Isabel y Pilar More
