If you are hungry don't go here! We ordered the grilled langoustines, there came ONEvery little langoustine just to fill once your mouth and that was it at the price of 19 euro and you had to pay extra for the bread. it was very disappointing.

The Castilian food here is first rate. This place is at Plaza Mayor square. Not so difficult to find. here they serve a lot of modern and traditional dishes. All dishes arre goood. When you get here and don't know how to order, just close your eyes and point. Nothing can go wrong.

Gourmet Madrid organised a great wine tasting and tapas meal at this restaurant in the cave below. Magnificent ambience in the cellars with some very good inexpensive wines and a full meal of tapas and a main course. We had almost two bottles of wine with the meal at a cost of only 63 euros each total. Value plus. Check... More

Place is a solid 4 - but a 5 in La Plaza Mayor. Excellent steak & octopus. A little pricey, but I would definitely eat there again.

The food was ok, nothing special or innovative, but definitely well-acceptable. The service was satisfactory, although, as usual, none of the waiters could speak a word of English. Nothing special overall and rather expencive for the quality of food offered. Well, a corner position in Plaza Mayor appears to be rather costly......

We vistited Galayos with a native of Madrid, not because she knew the place, but because of the location. They seated us very quickly foe lunch. We arrived around 3 p.m., perfect time for lunch. We ordered the daily menu, which was about 12€ each. Among us, we ordered a salad, gazpacho soups and a seafood stew. It arrived within... More

In Madrid there are many places to choose from and most are really good, Los Galayos offers excellent Sangria, torreznos Ibericos (pork) is to die for and would recommend all the pork dishes. The Paella Mixta with seafood, pork, chicken is pretty good but not the best around. The staff is way above average and the location in the Mayors... More

We loved this place and its historic location. Great service, great food, and not as many tourists as you would expect given its location.
