Our hotel recommended this restaurant and it was spectacular! Small, quiet, wonderful service, and some of the best steak I've had. We asked the waiter for a wine recommendation to go with our food and he hit the nail on the head. And, the bottle wasn't even that expensive. Great experience and highly recommend. Make sure to make a reservation.

I was in Madrid for work for 4months last year. My hotel recommended this place and they grew into my kitchen away from home. They have so many winners on the menu! Also Madrilene professionals i know eat here if they want something spectacularly good. Please find out yourself.

Nice restaurant with good food but a little quiet on a Saturday night. Only about 4 tables occupied. Excellent wine list but good house wine. As Asadors go, there are a few better in Madrid, but if you are staying in the neighborhood, you won't go wrong.

A long leisurely lunch was thoroughly enjoyed by three pals who regularly head for highly rated establishments, usually of French-style, but tried Madrid for a change and we were not at all disappointed. We let the Maitre D (don't know what his Spanish equivalent is called!) choose a few media-raciones for a shared starter after jamon iberico appeared like magic.... More

Sooo many people have said "that was the best steak I ever had" and it was sooo tender "it was like a knife through butter" - well the Tournedos Rossini at the Pelotari is just that - simply the best. And make sure you order the Rioja Imperial 2007 to go with it ! A night to remember !

We had dinner with a couple of friends last saturday at this restaurant. From reading the reviews I clearly expected more. This is a restaurant with three small rooms, so the feeling you get when you walk in is that it is very small with tables very close one to another. The decoration is dark and really not appealing at... More

I visited Pelotari with a large group of colleagues and their spouses. We arranged for the visit well ahead and ordered one of the group menus. Restaurant visits like that tend to be a somewhat mixed pleasure - but not in this case. The food was fabulous - great jamón, heaped platters of excellent shellfish, the best steak some of... More

My wife and I were taken to this hotel by business associates. For English readers of this review, locals know best! Not sure if this is in a tourist area as we were driven but it is worth taking a cab to. The restaurant felt traditional, certainly not pretentious and it felt very welcoming. The food was absolutely amazing in... More

Another great find on Tripadvisor. Being Spanish, having lived in Madrid and liking Basque-style food, I thought I had been to every decent Basque-style Asador worth the name in this city, and Pelotari was not on my list. As things turned out, I was clearly missing one important name. I was entertaining a close friend who also loves Basque food... More

We have visted here once before and it was good enough to return. Visited on a busy Thursday lunchtime and the building was full but they found us a table in a seperate small room, which to start with was cold and uninviting. Service was on the slow side but professional. Excellent selection of starters, main dishes and wine. We... More
