For the past 4 years, I have celebrated New Year's Eve at Bogavante with my family. The staff remembers us and ALWAYS provides exceptional service and an unbelievably delicious dinner. We have such a wonderful experience that we always return 2-3 days later for another meal! The signature dish, rice with lobster, is a must! The merluza (hake) is so... More

We had an excellent romantic dinner at this restaurant, which I would highly recommend owing to the quality of food, service and overall value. The restaurant has a nice buzz without being too loud, and is upscale without being stuffy. It would be appropriate for a nice business meal (some of the tables could easily seat 6-8 people) as well... More

Good place for a business meeting. Tables are separated enough and the place is nice. Food is good enough and service is good. Great location and nice decoration.

Delicious food, great service, even with a sense of humor, I will go back anytime. My family and I tried different dishes, all equally good, good wine too, and we spent a lovely evening. I suggest the palce for any occasion.

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
