This place has the same owner as casa lucio and a similar menu. The place is a traditional taverna madrileña with all the spanish classics like huevos estrellados and pulpo a la gallega. The ingredients are top notch and the place is super recomended.

Ended up here as our original plans fell through. What a very pleasant experience. On a Wednesday evening at opening time the place was deserted. To be expected in Madrid but a title off putting. By the time we left there wasn't a spare seat. We were made very welcome in the cellar like restaurant and given great advise on... More

From outside the place doesnt look very stylish. But when you enter it you will appear in restaurant offering great wine and traditional Spanish food. Gazpacho (cold vegetarian soup) and Fabada (beans meal) is a must there. Also check all the photos of famous people (posing with the owner/chef of the restaurant) on the walls.

I have dined here with a small group of colleagues. We were placed in a beautiful private room. Really loved the typical Spanish style in furniture, with the wood panels on the wall, that created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Food was very good. I won't say "amazingly great", as it probably lacked a bit in creativity; but everything was... More

This place reminded me of an old school, upscale steakhouse in the US. The staff was great and the food was delicious. Because of the ambiance, I ordered the churrasco and it was perfect.

On a recent trip to Madrid, I was invited to dinner here. It was your classic old school place that seemed to be steeped in tradition. The type of place where you can tell some of the waiters had been there for years and took pride in what they did. Seconds after sitting down there was a plate of thinly... More

Friends from Madrid invited us to this place and they managed all the menu from A to Z. As a result, difficult to guide you from a choice perspective! All-in-all my daughter & I loved this place and I guess it has also to do with the owner who's always ensuring that service & quality is at top level. Until... More
