A quiet Monday evening turned out to be an event, dining at Lua. No menu, but the waiter explained the whole tasting meny - and asked if there were any ingredients we couldn´t eat. We worked ourselves through all 7 courses, with 5 glasses of wine especially chosen for the food. Wonderful - and inexpencive (78 euros per person). Amazing... More

Lua turned out to be better than expected. We had the tasting menu and everything was wonderful, from start to finish. The cooking technique and style were well balanced, with traditional and "molecular" style well presented. The wine pairing was particularly wonderful and generous. We couldn't have been happier. I wish we have some place like this in the Bay... More

If you ever visited Seggar's in Atlanta, then this is very similar to this now closed establishment. The meal is well prepared and plated. Much care in the delivery. Not for everyone but I do recommend if you want a fine dining experience with excellent food.

Madrid dining starts at 9pm. This is not dinner. This is an experience. No menu. You are brought the tasters, starter, main and desserts. Accompanied by paired wines. We found the tastes challenging initially but once we had a couple of bites, we 'got it'! A lightbulb moment! Ah, I see what they are doing - clever! This will not... More

We had High expectations After Reading the excellent Reviews on tripadvisor And Looking at the rather High Price Tag. All courses except One tasted weird. one was unedible. we had to give back the meat main course. it was cold, had a texture like chewing gum and an awful taste. i have to wonder where all the good reviews are... Incredible meal, incredible value, incredible dining experience. We made reservations about a week in advance, I would recommend that. It was just really a wonderful meal, a great value ( about $80 US dollars with wine pairing) I highly recommend it and will certainly go again when I am back in Madrid.

Something a little different; the five course tasting menu with wine pairings was outstanding and at 75 euros not that expensive by European standards. The ambience is relaxing, the staff attentive and the beautiful wooden doors make for a pleasant entrance. Highly recommended.

While in Madrid I wanted a special place to celebrate my husband's birthday and we loved it. The food was fantastic, each dish was delicious not too much not too little, we chose the tasting menu & wine, it was a triumph! At the time of dessert they included a chocolate tablet with "felicidades" on it, great surprise! The service... More

Came to eat early at 8PM, first people to arrive...early dinner on a Thursday I suppose... Place had a good atmosphere and the service was great! We were seated promptly and treated very well throughout the dinner Dishes were innovative. However, some of the food was undercooked (fish, meat). And compared to some of the nicer Michelin restaurants in the... More

We spent just two nights in Madrid and wanted to maximize our dining experience. Lua was a great choice - flavorful, imaginative food with the freshest ingredients. Don't miss the faux Irish coffee - a tasty black bean soup with mushroom foam - delicious! The skate wing was also a highlight. The wine pairings were quite good - both food... More
