Whenever in Madrid my wife and I visit this restaurant which we've known for more than 10 years. More than once, we come directly from the airport with our luggage ! The staff is outstanding. Most of them have been with the restaurant forever... which is always a good sign. The maitres are extremely professional, having all learnt their office... More

A friend recommended this restaurant and now it is our time to recommend it because it deserves it. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the service is excellent and the food is very good. Fish and seafood better than most. Do not ask for the "buey" though as it is very tough. Other than that, the appetizers were excellent and beautiful... More

Very nice little basque restaurant near Plaza de Espana. Not centrally located but worth the walk. Good service and real spannish (basque) food. Not the typically tapas. Good choise, the croquetas de bacalado and seabass with tomato/onion compote. Take half portions, it is enough.

We were in search of a Basque restaurant and followed the lead of other TripAdvisor reviewers who had ranked Dantxari as #77 out of 1,621 restaurants in Madrid. Were we disappointed. Although the appetizer of hot anchovies cooked in garlic, pepper, and oil was quite tasty, the two main courses were big disappointments. -- txangurro a la donostierra was thin,... More

I liked everything about the restaurant! Ambience like home, cosy, could be for a relaxed lunch/dinner family or friends. On the first floor it looks more casual, on the second slightly more formal, could be also for a date! The food is very good, delicious! The service is excellent! There are mostly waiters of slightly older generation, feels like they... More

It's okay with food. Nice friendly service. Food has a bit too salty. It would better less:) I won't recommend it as food wasn't my taste.
