I read the reviews and was really looking forward to try the place. It wasn't such an amazing place really. I reserved just in case, and that worked really well. They are really friendly, that's a plus.

For a high class brand the prices are actually reasonable. The clothes are high quality and they also have Zara for kids which is really good. Prefer this to el corte inglis

Again enjoyed a great Cuban meal, the best avocado salad ever, ropa vieja and fried chicken, black beans and rice, platano maduro and of course the daiquiris. Always welcoming with big smiles. Word of warning, restaurant is moving in March, to a new location about 2 blocks away (Barbieri street). I'm sure it will be just as nice.

A family-run restaurant in the heart of Madrid. Very home atmosphere and friendly staff. Don't expect any luxury, you go there for the food: ropa vieja and frijoles are a must!!

The nicest little restaurant and warmest welcome - I have been many times, this time as a guest at lunch - late 2:30. A nice crowd, some media/celebrity types enjoying black beans and rice, "ropa vieja" and other Cuban and caribbean specialties, and OH the Daiquiris, one jug is not enough . We did not have to wait in line,... More

I'll start with the daiquiris. They are like the Pringles of the local drinking scene. Once you pop you can't stop. Strawberry, banana, mango and a special "Obama" daiquiri which is coffee flavoured. They come in big jugs and are served in dainty little champagne glasses. One jug is never enough. I'm just warning you. For me Zara is the... More

We had read about this restaurant on TP and it was on our list of places to visit in Madrid. Tonight our last night, we ventured out to Zara. It is guy pride week so the area is full of interesting folks this week. The entire experience for our family of 5 was terrific! Our children ages 8,11,14 gobbled up... More

My wife is cuban so we get excited when we find an authentic cuban restuarant no matter where it's located. I stumbled upon this place on the internet..what a jewel!! The food was awesome and the service great. The ropa vieja was incredible and the pork was better than my mother-in-laws! Sorry Margot. Very resonable prices. I highly recommend this... More

The food was tasty, interesting and rustic. It was delicious to be honest. It's rare for me to tell a waiter "that was really, really nice" but I did. It's not Michelin star stuff but it's good feed and good value. The Strawberry daiquiris are great and the old geezer that served us was a dude!

We went for dinner here one evening, hoping for some cuban atmosphere, and cuban food. I will start with the good. Location, is on a parallel street next to the Gran Via, so a central location you can say. Decor - this one was nothing spectacular, red on white criss-cross tablecloths, some cuban/havana pictures, nice music - we chose to... More
