Nice meat with a good wine

I went there last year with a Friend. We had a starting to share and then some nice meat, really nice steak to share. All combined with one of the best Spanish wines from my point of view, Arzuaga. Restaurant was quite cool and calm, not loud at all. Staff was all right, no complaints.

Opening hours rather restricted - 12.. to 16.00 and 20.30 to 23.00 - so we chose 14.00. Warmly welcomed and seated quickly. Waiter spoke good English; explained the menu and took order for drinks. When delivered he took our order for meals. Reasonable time elapsed before our food was delivered. Steaks were absolutely perfect as were the accompaniments. Dessert also... More

Great jamon. Good selection of wines, including 3/8 bottles. Steaks cooked to perfection. Service a wee bit slow, but to an annoying degree.

Went there on my stag do on Saturday, 22 of us, everyone raving about the steaks, plenty wine(malbec) and beers and the bill came to less than 40 euros per head, the kobe beef was awesome!

Good location on the banks of the Manzanares river, simple 'authentic' interior decoration and amenable to some thorough cleaning and refurbishment. But staff was extremely friendely and efficient. And the food, especially the lomo alto, was delicious!

We landed in Madrid very late and got to our hotel at 11:30pm. Starving we went out for a walk around the square to see what we could find - luckily we found this restaurant. service was good, food was tasty (must like red meat..) atmosphere was entertaining. We ate well after 12:30 am and the place was hopping.

We had a business dinner in La Vaca and were advised to have steak as they specialize on beef. It was a very good advise. I ordered medium and received precisely medium. Meat was tender and succulent, really one of the best steaks I ever ate. Entrees were varied (chorizos, mushrooms, some other nice things) and equally delicious. Vine was... More
