We were staying at the Artrip Hotel which is owned by the same family so made the 20 min. walk to this restaurant which is on a busy square, full of restaurants. Being a Saturday night we were lucky enough to be found a table and the service was excellent from start to finish (we especially appreciated our English-speaking waiter!).... More

Our first night on Madrid with a group of twenty. We separated into tables of four and reconvened quickly after dinner. I did not hear anyone saying anything positive, best being something like "edible". Everything seemed marked by cost saving. Bad ingredients and small portions. Muessels were the size of an appetizer, my skewer had 4 pieces of meat and... More

Great meat on hot plate! Great waiter. Can't beat the plaza view! It was busy but not overwhelming. Kids enjoyed the food as well. I would definitely eat here again. My wife liked the fact that the waiter spoke English.

We were staying at the the amazing Me Madrid Hotel right on the Santa Ana Plaza. We had tried at first to eat at Lateral restaurant (based on a recommendation) on the same square but we didn't want to wait the 30 minutes to get a table. There were less people at Vina P Taberna which made us wonder why,... More

Highly recommended. Same owner of restaurant and a beautiful hotel near by (Artrip Hotel). Order the meat on hot plate (self cooked). Salmon and Sea bass are great. Cream Catalan was excellent home made desert. Waiters are friendly and English speakers. No smoking inside the restaurant.

I especially enjoy this restaurant during the summer because of its original and fresh menú. The service is really cozy and the familiar atmosphere is grest.

One night in Madrid, tired from three weeks of travel and the truly lovely proprietor at our hotel recommended this place. We realized that he was recommending a family business and that was suspect but fresh gazpacho was a draw after weeks on the road so we went. Wonderful location in an open air pretty plaza but the fact that... More

We went for dinner on the recommendation of our hotel. We wanted something authentic and not touristy. We were warmly greeted by the owner and our waiter Alfonso was very helpful in his recommendations. We had their speciality of beef that you cook at the table on a terra cotta hot plate. We also ordered a superb asparagus with aioli... More

This was suggested by Jaime from artrip hotel. Our first ciurse of anchovies and smoked salad started the evening well. House wine us higky recommended. We had the ribeye chuleton which you cook at your table - it was excellent. We finished the meal with Creme brûlée which could be better. I would go back if I visit Madrid again

Had dinner here twice. Everything just perfect. Excellent beef that you prepare yourself at a hot plate at the table. Funny and entertaining. Good wine and atmosphere. We were 11 persons from 3 to 70 years, and we had ad splendid time, feeling very welcome.
