Great Sushi spot in Madrid!

Excellent service! And the sushi was better than I was expecting for being in the center of Spain. A very nice atmosphere as well. Great for a date or with friends!

This is a quite good quality Japanese food restaurant. Small restaurant located just in the city center. I went with my friends and we ordered different Japanese specialties, everything was good and I would like to say that “Nagiri de Pez Mantequilla” was excellent. However, the price wasn't worth it, it was more than 220€ for 4 people

We tried the sushi menu here for lunch (19 euro for small appetizer, miso soup, 6 pieces of sushi, dessert/coffee). Everything was very fresh, tender and delicious. The 'menus' seem to be a good value. If you order a la carte, it is on the pricey side. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was excellent. We hope to... More

Very good sushi although not cheap, (as most sushi in Madrid, expect to pay 15 to 17euro for a 8piece roll. Location is full of tourists, so is a nice place to walk before dinner, you can arrive after 10pm and expect a full place. Try the miso berenjenas!

Nice and cosy restaurant! Not the cheapest sushi restaurant, but regarding the quality, the taste and also presentation it's most certainly a "must visit" if you like sushi and you are staying in Madrid.

19 Sushi Bar is in the full center of Madrid just 5 minutes walking distance to Puerta del Sol and almost on Calle Gran Via. The restaurant is quite small, just few tables but very nicely furnished. The waiters are kind and always available. If you go there with a car no need to worry as the Parking Placa del... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
