Description: Nice tavern located on the most central and commercial zone of Madrid (walking distance to la Puerta del Sol and Plaza de Santa Ana). Ideal to make a stop along the way to taste its tapas or to have dinner sitting at one of its small rooms. Very varied menu of Spanish portions and bite-sized appetizers. Kind employees. Kitchen open to the public for directly dealing with the chef. Sangría. Cocktails.

The best restaurant in central Madrid! All the staff were superbly friendly and helpful. Our group consisted of meat-eaters and vegetarians, and the staff adjusted the menu to suit our preferences, fantastic! Between the five of us, we ordered aroud 20 of the "del chatos", little glasses of servings which is also the name of the restaurant. The servings are... More

Skip the mojitos (weak), but drink the sangria - super tasty! The tapas were pretty good and we ended up getting a second round. For the amount of food and drink, it was very reasonably priced.

Solid place, with good food and friendly service. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area, but I didn't think it was the kind of place to plan your evening around. For better or worse, it seemed well frequented by trip advisor users

Loved the presentation of the food. Conventional tapas are re-invented very successfully. Portions are very small though. But fair price. Great as pre-dinner tapas tasting.

Very tasty food and the staff extemely helpful. I understand that tapas are very small meals but it could have been a little biggwr. Cheap if you want to eat a little

Just had dinner here. Food was unfussy, well presented, staff very friendly. The Birral beer is great, I had a pint and half just to be sure. Try the Potatoes in Mojos, spanish omelette and vegetable sticks with mango sauce. All great. It was busy, but I was served quickly. Music was retro 80s, but I only felt old because... More

Altough the place looked too simple, we had amazing food here. We choose the "menu" (was 30 euro for 2 persons), which contained a bottle of wine (was good), and 9 pieces of food (6 of it choosen by us). It was more than enough, and all of them were great. Highly recommended place.

My partner and I had a splendid tapas at this taberna. The food was beautifully prepared, the service was warm and friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and unhurried. I would recommend it to my friends and family which is saying something. It was also value for money, important in an already expensive city.

Every tapas we ordered had a unique bite. Very creative and tasty, I wish my stomach was bigger to try them all! Partridge pate, crispy chicken, tuna tartare, Brie with tomato sauce... Even the almonds which came out with drinks were warm, roasted and delicious. Worth a visit!
