We tried 3 mushroom dishes: Mixed mushrooms w/fried egg, morels w/foie gras and boletus w/scallops. The first was our favorite, but as the other dishes arrived, we found that the preparations were the same each time, a basic sautee, without much skill or nuance to enhance the flavor of the mushrooms. The foie gras was not very good quality, and... More

If you love mushrooms - this is your place. As well as if you like meat and traditional Spanish food. Exterior and interior is very "plain", but the food is not. Service is quick and food very tasty and well cooked.

Don't be fooled by the "ordinary" exterior. This restaurant serves outstanding Spanish food, especially a wide range of mushrooms. We are there three days running, and can recommend everything we tried. My favourites were the mushrooms with an egg, lamb chops and asparagus. The waiting staff were great, making numerous suggestions, all of which were outstanding. Highly recommended indeed.

I've been a few times to El Cisne, and I can say it's one of the greatest experiences you can have in Madrid. Food is of excelent quality, and service is cool and close. It does not surprise me that it is always full, so it is really dificult to find a free table at almost any time.

Mushrooms are the heart of the menu, with at least 12 different varieties. We had no idea what we were getting into but kept an open mind (and mouth) and were glad we did. The asparagus with "stinky" cheese was good. The Setas de cardo al ajillo (mushrooms with garlic and thistle) were excellent. The bread and house wine were... More

This place is what the french might call 'Les couilles de chien'. It was actually a frenchman who took us there - Francky-Franck. Anyway, it's a really ordinary looking spanish bar with a ridiculous name that specialises in mushroom - based dishes. All year round they bring the freshest muzza's they can find and combine them with equally fresh veg,... More

Our second visit to Cisne Azul and just as good as the first! Service is friendly and swift. Boletus with foie gras-great--,setas with garlic and herbs memorable! The place is busy with some pressure on tables but Cisne Azul is not to be passed by!

We wandered in here by chance, and the fact that there were a bunch of locals in the restaurant. We had no idea what we were getting into, and could not read the Spanish only menu. The waiter was extremely helpful and recommended some dishes for us to try. We started out with tuna and tomato salad, which was pretty... More

The best plate of morrel mushrooms that I can remember. I only wish that I could share them with my mom. Full dinner, including wine, for 3 - 72 Euros. How can you go wrong!
