Simple and delicious

Reasonable place with reasonable prices but delicious food in a beautiful area. Few tables and prompt service, nothing fancy but you would like that place.

Try the tasting menu which changes all the time...Asian fusion with Latin influences mussels, chicken, pork etc. Delicate and delicious. Lots of after dinner bar hopping in the area too.

I was taken to this restaurant by a friend of mine who lives in Madrid. I was very impressed. First of all, the tapas style servings were small tastings, just enough that you could taste each bite (each one was unique and unforgettable) and then it allowed you to enjoy the wines and exotic cocktails without killing your buzz. I... More

This restaurant was recommended to me by a good friend, and at first I hesitated, as I thought why eat Asian when I am in my first week in Spain? Second thought was I frequently seek out excellent food at home or away, irrespective of the cuisine. I am so glad I ate here. The degustation menu was a delight... More

The short version, before I start rambling, is that I cannot believe that this restaurant ranks so low in the list of places to try out in Madrid. Surely in a city of copycat tapas, where you will most likely find the same flavours across a large number of restaurants, one that offer such a distinct mix has to be... More

Tucked away in a non-descript street (we nearly walked right past it), with very little fanfare announcing it, it is hard to believe the quality of this restaurant's food. It had been recommended by my Madrid host, and we had read a few very favourable reviews, but the sheer freshness, quality and imagination of the food was exceptional and one... More

I came across the Asiana Nextdoor thanks to my boyfriends' parents taking us there for lunch one Sunday. The menu was overwhelming, in the best way possible. Everything sounded amazing so we ordered a large selection of things to share. I've had very few meals where I liked every single bite, but this was one of them (which was especially... More

I loved the new dish "Pez Mantequilla con reducion de Kalamata": so delicate and tasty at the same time. The mussels and the Zamburignas are a must, just like the Balinese Satay.

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
