Was in Madrid on a business trip and this was the first night. Excellent service, wonderful tapas and really good quality wine.

First night I went to the restaurant. Not so good, not so bad (except for the tiramisu: I did not like it at all, and left it there. The restaurant is a little pretentious to my taste). Now, then the next night I went to the tapas place (same block, just a couple of meters from the restaurant). Waiters are... More

Very good place for tapas in Madrid center. Price ratio very good. Do not GO without trying the COD... It is amazing. Tapas can't be better.

This is the TAVERNA at #46 and NOT the restaurant at #48 calle Lagasca. This is basically a tapas place with all kinds of tapas but each comes to you on a delicious slice of bread. We had several inclusing anchovy with melted cheese, pork shoulder with creamy mustard, artichoke, asparagus and mushroom, and mushroom with melted cheese among several... More

Tapas are served on a slice of fresh italian bread. There is a huge variety from fish to vegetarian to beef. Everything was well made and delicious. The canape of pork with brie and quail egg was especially good. The sangria was tasty and really hit the spot. Overall one of the best tapas places we have had so far.... More

The terrine of foie comes with toast and marmalade. Fantastic. They serve some great tapas and wine too.

We stumbled upon this restaurant rather by chance, but were very impressed. The restaurant is very modern inside, but in a tasteful and yet quite quirky way. Service was spot on in terms of attentiveness - we were the first to arrive due the late hour the Spanish eat by UK standards, but we did not feel swamped by people.... More

I took my husband here for a meal whilst on a weekend trip to Madrid for his 50th birthday. The service was first class and the staff very friendly. We struggled a little at first with the language barrier as only one of the waitresses spoke any English and unfortunately our Spanish is very basic, but this did not spoil... More

Closed Sundays :-( Popped in one night about 23:30 and had two glasses of Rioja and a couple of toasties from the bar for 4 euros. Then we went back on Monday. Small restaurant area but food is great. They do a few sampler tapas which is great if you want to try a few different tastes. Atmosphere is great... More
