An innovative approach to modern French/Spanish cuisine. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the service friendly and professional. I would recommend the ox tail in Starters, very original and tasty recipe. As an Entree, the hake was delicious as well as their version of the classic "paella" Spanish rice dish. Leave space for the desserts! We will definitely come back. It's... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant because it was close to the hotel and had good reviews online. Very nice white tablecloth dining, with a great wine list and courteous staff that could speak some English. We were lucky to get in without a reservation on a weeknight but one is highly recommended.

Maybe I didn't choose the right meals but I didn't like the "international" food served in this restaurant: appetizer, starter and dessert tasted poorly. Fortunately, my main dish (beef) was good and saved me from starvation during my business dinner. If you expect to eat French, there should be better places in Madrid.

We found the restaurant via TripAdvisor. Close to our hotel. Was met by friendly professional staf, English speaking and English menu card. Had salmon tartare as starter. Very good and plenty. We found out too late that we could order 1/2 portion. Then lam racks. Delicius. And a fantastic red wine, recommended by the waiter. Ended with coffee. Not cheap... More

Went there in the beginning of mine and my boyfriend's stay in Madrid. Restaurant easily reachable located in central area, service just right, attendees prompt and food delicious! Definitely to recommend.

We ended up here because the restaurants nearby having higher Trip Advisor scores were full on a Thursday night. We ordered Veal's cheek and duck for main dishes and deserts were creme brulee. Dishes looked good and tasted excellent. There were no potatoes with the Duck which was a small downside. Maybe waitress would have suggested some kind of salad... More

I have thought long and hard about this review. I was going to entitle it 'Foodies: avoid this place' because that is my message. We found the place by chance, walking past the previous day. I read the latest reviews here which were almost all good. The place looked attractive from the street so we booked online for a Friday... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
