The menu was very limited and not much variety. I had the lomo and my husband had the chicken. So basically steak (VERY RARE - and I wasn't even asked how I like my meat cooked) and potatoes. And chicken with potatoes in a sauce. When I asked the waiter what kind of sauce it was - he didn't even... More

We chose this restaurant on TA reviews and are happy to confirm that it is top value. Metro Bistro was empty when we arrived, on a Tuesday evening. We were impressed by the menu and were confronting the difficult decision of what to eat when we spotted the tasting menu, described as a 'tour of the kitchen'. At €35 for... More

Lived up to expectations. Short interesting menu which the waiter worked hard to explain. We often skip deserts but both the chocolate 3 ways and pineapple and blackberries were outstanding as we're the croquettes A good wine list fairly priced. All in all a good night made special by the service We will be trying their sister restaurant next time

What a lovely restaurant, from the minute we walked in staff were very friendly. To start with delicious cucumber mojitos, and fresh cocoa and orange bread. The food was great, with careful attention to detail to both the taste of the each dish and presentation. A really enjoyable evening.

Went there because it was recommended by the airline. Nice food, well made and served by the Owner/ chef himself!

Just a chance encounter on a Sunday stroll and we are convinced we have found a real treasure. Fabulous food, service, price and we are already looking forward to the next time. ....it's going to be our weekend treat from now on, and our go-to place when we have visitors. Not to be missed.

Located just a few blocks from Plaza España, Matias Smith brings a fresh air of fusion to some of Spain's classics. This month's blend is between Spanish and Latin American. If you were a big fan of his regular menu - you're in luck, they've opened a second location off Plaza Mayor and the previous carta is being served there.... More

I had booked this restaurant through TripAdvisor for a special occasion & the staff really delivered a fantastic experience. On arrival we were given mini mojitos to mark the occasion. The staff gave a great wine recommendation - the wine menu was very extensive. All food was prepared to perfection. We loved the desserts in particular. We were offered glasses... More

This chef restaurant is something completely different in all Madrid area!! Chef Matias is the perfect host. He came to our (and other) table to see if the food was OK and offered some explanations about it. The food is very tasty and the service is perfect!!!

I stayed at the Mecure Madrid Plaza de Espana, which is a short walk from Metro Bistro. I decided to eat here based on reviews from others. I kept my order simple and had the steak tartare with a glass of red wine. The service was excellent. They provided me with an amuse bouche and even though I didn't order... More
