A very good choice

Having read the reviews, we planned our day around an evening meal here, expecting an "authentic" (as much as one can hope for) experience, but all we were really hoping for was a quiet, satisfying meal. That did not happen. We were seated right by the door, under a big screen TV, and treated with a fast-paced indifference that is... More

A restaurant if you want a change from Tapas. We had lasagne and a pizza and both were nice. House red was also good. We ended up with some garlic bread that we hadn't really ordered so make sure you know what you are ordering. Worth a visit.

We happened upon here on our first night as it was nearby to our hotel and I had remembered it from Tripadvisor. We ordered a Caesar salad and a garlic focaccia for starter then my partner had lasagne and I ordered the mushroom risotto. Both were very tasty but portions were incredibly small. I was still hungry when we left.... More

Thumbs up for this "real" italian restaurant in the ocean of turistic, rubbishy, low quality, turistic offer in the centre of Madrid. Do you want to have a relaxing meal in an autentic italian restaurant run by young italian people, then look no further. Home made, well cooked, savoury italian pasta, Menabrea beers....(if you dont know it then you will... More

We had a night in Madrid at end of holiday this Summer, and stumbled across this fantastic Italian. Food, service, location, atmosphere - everything was outstanding! Definitely worth a visit!

Nice restaurant with Italian flavor. I would suggest they add more options for the pasta as it is limited at the time being.

Ok. In Madrid you usually are forced to go to the local way. Eatin' tapas of various selection in a stand in bar that are hundreds there. I personally like eat-in-sit-by-the-table style. So you are a bit forced to wander around to search for a restaurant there. Don't get me wrong. You find sit-ins all around. Here's a place you... More

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
