Excellent Italian restaurant

Dinner on weekend. The food was delicious ! Impeccable service. The waiter was very attentive and truly hospitable. The atmosphere was very pleasant, uplifting, not too causal, not too formal, just great. I would love to come back to try everything on their menu. Grazie a te, Grazie mille !

Well done trip advisor and well done Grazia Mille 👍 Perfect evening meal, no hassle making a reservation in the morning and were very welcoming in the evening. We were advised to have a starter as a large table had just ordered mains, we were thankful as there could have been quite a wait! During our meal our waiter Cartelo... More

We found Grazie Mille when wandering and are so glad we did, the Italian menu had some true delights on it including dishes with truffles and carbonara made the traditional way without cream. the setting is quaint, the service excellent with menus available in other languages and the food very reasonably priced. We went on a Sunday night when the... More

Great food and perfect service in the middle of the city. Real italian restaurant with perfect pizza and pasta. We enjoyed our time there, got great food and friendly and excellent service. Funny chairs, no one is the same, all are different. If you look for italian food in Madrid you have to go there. On weekend it is better... More

My wife and I stopped in here for an Italian dinner and really enjoyed the food and service. We shared a terrific salad and pizza, and a bottle of rose. The food was really tasty and we liked the informal atmosphere. It is a little tight between tables but that is part of the entertainment!

As we love Italian holidays, it was lovely to find a piece of Italy even in Spain! Not because of the food (we ate there only once and it was good), but for the atmosphere the young staff created. They were warmly welcoming, especially when I tried to use my poor knowledge of the beautiful Italian language. We went back... More

This little restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants in Madrid. The pizzas are some of the best pizzas I have had in a long time. The wine list was a little narrow but the primitivo was very smooth and good. The desserts were super. I would recommend going here. Good value for the money.

When I travel I usually do local food. However, with a ravenous teenager, I had no choice today. The restaurant looked quite inviting so I went with his choice. The food choice was great, but still, why Italian in Spain? I was pleasantly surprised...After visiting italy around 7 times, the food was significantly better than a number of restaurants I have... We had a beautiful Italian meal here, the pasta was gorgeous. I know some have said the portions are small but I found it very filling. Definitely get the brushetta. As amazing as the food was our waiter was what really made the evening. He was friendly and warm, attentive but not over bearing, just keeping an eye that we... More

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
