One of the best Italian style pizza, said from an Italian!!!

I have been many times to this Restaurant and the quality of the Pizza is one of the best in town. Pasta and the Burrata are always fresh and very good as well. Don't forget to taste the superb TIRAMISU!!!!!

Pasta was lovely and fresh and sauces simple but tasty. Accompanied by a nice bottle of Tuscan red made for an enjoyable dinner. I don't expect or like hurried service but this was a little on the slow side considering our meal had been served before our wine arrived. Overall all ok but I would not rate it as unmissable.

Have eaten here several times this year, always bring friends or family when they visit as it is nice to eat something other than tapas/ Spanish cuisine. Food is absolutely excellent and the service brilliant, which is something of a rarity in Madrid. Eating here again tonight with a big group of friends and would recommend it to anyone!

My husband and I found this trattoria thanks to good reviews. We are both foodies and enjoy good wine and we were amazed by the simple yet elegant Italian food served. Everything was freshly made and delicious. We started with the eggplant parmigiana that has the right balance of eggplant, tomato sauce and cheese. We then moved to the main... More

Have visited this restaurant every time I visit Madrid (over 8 times in past year). Food is excellent. Service is speedy and not in your face. Perfect home made Italian food as it should be made and served. Try the buffalo mozzarella (for at least 2 persons as a starter) or the roasted provalone. The home made gnocci bolognese and... More

Located just moments from Puerto de Sol this wonderful restaurant will not disappoint. A very accomodating staff serving delicious Italian dishes. We were there last week with friends and shared a variety of dishes; each was excellent. If you go make reservations and do not miss ordering the vegetable strudel. It is out pf this world! Downstairs eating should also... More

Had pizza and pasta dishes here recently and was not over impressed. I did not find the staff to be helpful, such as asking if i wanted tomato sauce with my dish or asking if i wanted ground pepper or parmesan. It was a case of get them in and out as quickly as possible.

Staying in Centro

Neighborhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
