This place is awesome! I highly recommend! We ate here twice during our three nights in madrid. The staff are fantastic, prices are reasonable and everything we had was excellent quality!!

This place is a tiny hole-in-the-wall with about 4 tables on street level (there are more upstairs, tho). No English, but lots of hand gestures and exaggerated facial expressions, which adds to the authentic experience! We ordered the potatoes with garlic mayo and also red sauce - they were so hot and so fresh that smoke came out of our... More

We really enjoyed lunch here. Had the garlic prawn, calamari, steamed mussels and fried potatoes. All of which were great! The owners were very friendly and offered us complimentary drink at the end, and a little chocolate treat for our son too. Really cosy place!

I came here on the basis of a review in the Guardian and knew I'd made the right choice - a host of local wines, beer on tap, home-made vermouth and sangria started things off. Tapas were served with all drinks and I also ordered several items off of the menu - the gazpacho was tasty and fresh and the... More

We tried this small tapas bar based on an article I had read in The Guardian about the top 10 tapas bars in Madrid. This is the type of bar you would walk right past, but fair to say I'm glad we didn't. We stopped for a light lunch and our 3 tapas & 2 drinks came to less than... More

This was near our hotel and was recommended in one of the best of list tapas online. We were not disappointed as the food was very good and the service attentive. We had calamari which had the right level of breading and pig ears very similar to Philippine "Sisig". Both dishes did not disappoint. The prices were very reasonable. Highly... More

After spending way too much on a mediocre lunch at Plaza Mayor we decided to try a local place near our hotel in the Puerta del Sol area. Casa Toni is a tiny place, almost like a lunch counter, but oh man is the food good. And the service is friendly and welcoming. We had a massive tomato salad with... More

We had a fun time here. Friendly locals and good service. This place looks a little daunting, but give it a go. Tasty tapas, but be careful what you order - they do have some "interesting" things like sweetbreads and intestines.

I've been going to this place for more than 10 years and it never changes. The food is not great but that's not the point. It's a bar not a restaurant but it's good and authentic. In this part of town there are limited good options and this place is reliable.

All the food was good (not keen on the pigs ears myself...). Attentive pleasant staff. For much of our stay in Madrid, we have the benefit of a Spanish friend as a 'guide' , but Casa Toni was equal to any of the other 'best places' we tried. On the evening we visited Casa Toni we left to try somewhere... More
