This is a beautifully decorated, laid back restaurant. The service was excellent. There is an English menu available. I had the tuna red curry which tasted amazing and was very fresh, however I could have done with a little bit more! We had some bread which was really good (especially when dipped in to the curry sauce!)

This restaurant changes every time we come. The first time we were here it was casual but the food was very good. The second time, the staff were pretentious and rude and the food was mediocre. This time, they've changed the inside (for the better), and the food has gone up in both appearance and flavor (but so has the... More

Found this place on tripadvisor this evening 02/01/2015 and read all the positive comments about it. I can only confirm them all. Lovely atmosphere...very peaceful place in a wonderful location. Food was just perfect. Small menu but quality of ingredients and passion make the rest. I had the best tuna tartare ever in my life. Smooth...delicate and with some cucumber..onion... More

As others have said - its changed a little over the yrs from what it was - and charges more for less. However, its still a delightful spot to sit with the locals in the square on a warm evening. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. I had the tuna and colleagues had the tartrate and the hamburger. All were... More

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on a quiet Tuesday night, encouraged by the good TripAdvisor reviews and 30% midweek discount when booking via the Fork website. We weren't disappointed! The menu is not particularly Spanish but rather it is an excellent moderately fancy bistro menu. We shared the squash, sage and Gorgonzola ravioli and it was the... More

This used to be a favourite place of my for taking visitors or eating with friends but when I took some visitors the other day we ended up sorely disappointed and very hungry. Basically it's become a lot more pretentious, with smaller portions, higher prices and very very slow service. The other problem for me is that it used to... More

This place is very tasty – both the décor and the food…. I’ve had the shoulder of Iberico pork, chargrilled medium rate and it was awesomely good – tender and beautiful flavour. It’s not cheap but worth it!

Staying in La Latina

Neighborhood Profile
La Latina
La Latina is a charming neighborhood with two unique personalities. At first glance, it’s distinctly old-world, with narrow streets weaving a maze among charming stone buildings in sunny, bright colors like yellow and pink. The other side of La Latina is characterized by a young population and a bohemian vibe, as evidenced by a dynamic and evolving selection of new bars, shops, coworking spaces, and other businesses popping up in the area. In the northern part of the neighborhood, the Cava Alta and Cava Baja streets constitute the tapas center of Madrid, where each age-old restaurant serves up distinctive specialties like huevos rotos and patatas bravas. Locals have come here for generations to while away hours over drinks and tapas with friends. On Sundays and public holidays, the streets to the south of La Latina metro station transform into a giant open-air market full of locals sifting through tent after tent of art, apparel, and antiques. Any day of the week, the intriguing blend of the traditional and the hip make the streets of La Latina worth exploring.
