Good quality food, nice service

Though often very full, we ate her a couple of times during our last stay in Madrid. Always nice food, and friendly staff. Very good price/quality ratio. We really like the grilled vegetables with truffle oil and chèvre. Lunch menu is nice, however the main menu is much more interesting. Overall a... read more

I was stuck in Madrid for work for a day, after wondering the busy centre aimlessly I stumbled upon this place, having not read any reviews I took a punt and was pleasantly rewarded with good food, attentive staff and a warm welcome. I sat down and was presented with an English menu, I tried to order my self a... More

I'm not sure exactly how I found this restaurant, but I think that it's a much less crowded and more laid back version of the LaMucca del Prado that I have enjoyed in the past. The wine list is a bit cheaper. You don't have to worry so much about a reservation for lunch. The menú del día is a... More

Stumbled across this lively eatery/bar on a Tuesday night and the atmosphere was vibrant, friendly and relaxed. Food was lovely and the staff were more than helpful. We ordered the Thai curry and lamb chops and loved every bite. Highly recommend this place :)

The building is a fusion of old and new but has an overall modern feel inside. Drinks are quite expensive for Madrid prices but it seems popular. We just had pre dinner drinks there. Around €7 for a gin and tonic. People around us eating pizza and seemed popular with families.

You cannot be wrong with Lamucca. It's a good place with a good and huge variety of dishes ... high standards for food...it is always crowded so it is better to book in advance

I used to lovee this place. I went again and I found the bread was hard and old; the tartar was bland and the croquetas were made with a "Maggi" sauce. Really disappointed. Even the brownie was hard as a rock and the bill was extremely high for the prize. I used to recommend this place To everyone but never... More

I was pretty excited when I heard about another location of La Mucca Prado. I love the restaurant, but especially as a single diner (usually), it's hard to just drop in and reservations are usually a good idea. I was exploring this neighborhood, and was delighted to see another La Mucca. I dropped in for a glass of wine a... More

The interior is adorable. The risotto and Sangria out of this world! When we told the waiter it was my birthday the put a candle in our tiramisu and the staff sang happy birthday.

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
