I used to lovee this place. I went again and I found the bread was hard and old; the tartar was bland and the croquetas were made with a "Maggi" sauce. Really disappointed. Even the brownie was hard as a rock and the bill was extremely high for the prize. I used to recommend this place To everyone but never... More

The interior is adorable. The risotto and Sangria out of this world! When we told the waiter it was my birthday the put a candle in our tiramisu and the staff sang happy birthday.

I loved the interior of this place, its really fun. The desserts are great, it has free wifi. The place is pretty cool, good music, nice staff. We hung around midday after walking around Madrid , its fun place to just chill and pick at food and listen to upbeat music.

The bull tail risotto rice is the best in Madrid. Only at LaMucca Almagro. Excellent and not too expensive.

This was our first restaurant in Spain. Tables in the outside were almost full when we got there at 8pm for dinner. We ordered glasses of white wine. For starters: croquettes, tomato sandwich and for main dishes: avocado salad and a mushroom risotto. All the foods were delivered at once which caused that the main dish was cold when we... More

Nice place with a bistro menu that goes from French to Spanish going further on to mexcian, Thai and a little of japanese. But the kitchen seems to be in control with the different flavours. The outdoor area is very buisy, go early or you will not have to wait for a free table for dinner. Inside is cozy and... More

The restaurant was recommended by my hotel which was close by. I liked the lively atmosphere and the friendly service, but the food was not very special. I ordered the hamburger.

We ate at La Mucca three times, each time tasting something new, we ate early but had to promise we'd be out by 9:30 (we did not have reservations), the service was perfect, the food was perfect, the atmosphere was delightful. F

La Mecca seemed a little less touristy Thant nearby places, but they had menus printed in English, so they must be used to tourists. Food was delicious and fast. We sat on the patio in the sunshine and there were many people queuing for the outside tables.

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
