Like its sister La Pescaderia, staffed for beauty; food is more basic but still excellent

My friend and I had a dinner on a Sunday night at Lamucca, so it was a bit more quiet that usual, I would imagine. We ended up having perfectly decent nachos and a good tuna tataki. In the summer, I would imagine being right on the plaza is lovely, as there's tons of outdoor seating; we were... read more

Stumbled on this very friendly, well designed, buzzy eatery just off Calle Pez. Extremely good advice from the waiter about what to order. Good wine list and sherries.

I was there for the first time over the past christmas and it tured out to be a very pleasant surprise. The food was amazing, specially the pizzas which were all very original. After eating the enviroment was super cool, with nice music and a great offer of drinks and cocktails. Highly recommended!

We were in Madrid only for 2 nights, but we chose this restaurant twice. They serve a delicious pizza with blue cheese and pear, the service is really fast and the staff is lovely

Knew this place was popular as it was always booked out for dinner. We went for late lunch with teenagers and we all lived it's liveliness and energy. Excellent food variety with superb and innovative pizzas. Good wine selection also. Would definitely return

Tasty food, served nicely and with smiley faces :) You must give a try, a least go for a coffee to explore the place, you'll not regret!

So admittedly I was here for my boss's birthday party. Consequently we were in a party space downstairs and didn't get to take in the restaurant scene. Nibbles, which were brought around, were nothing special. The place is loaded to the scuppers with adult beverages.

Great food and a lively atmosphere. Perfect place to relax after business trip. I ordered salad and a burger and both were delicious. I would definitely recommend Lamucca

I so wanted to enjoy my main course, and I did, but it took us 20 minutes from sitting down to ordering and then almost an hour between our starters and main course. The food, drinks and atmosphere were great but the wait really let the experience down. It was busy when we arrived but the majority cleared out within... More

Staying in Malasana

Neighborhood Profile
Malasana
Hip bars and galleries, independent theaters and music venues, young people with tattoos and funky hair, narrow winding streets — this is Malasaña. Near the center, Plaza Dos de Mayo is a gathering of friends outside bars, dog owners, artists under craft tents, and creative types with notebooks and sketchpads on the plaza’s benches. It may not be as neat and tidy as many other parts of the city, but this only adds to the Malasaña edge. Shops and bars here range from hippie-crunchy to upscale trendy, and on weekends, the streets are bustling around the clock as the nightlife progresses from dinner to bar to disco to late-night food. On the west side of the neighborhood is the subdistrict called Conde Duque, named after a large pink fort in its center that has been converted into a cultural center for exhibitions and performances. Prettier yet just as edgy, this intimate corner of Malasaña is home to a young international community.
