Very good

If you're willing to spend a bit more money for real Mexican food, go here. We had three different kinds of tacos plus guacamole and it was all so tasty! Staff was very nice too

Awesome location and decor, and very good service. However, food was bland and absolutely lacking any creativity. While you can debate the "authenticity" of the dishes all day long, the real point is that the food was uninspired. Tortillas were rubbery, and the carnitas were dry - the chorizo in the queso fundido had no flavor, just grease. For upscale... More

Great location in Salamanca, average food, high prices. Service not so good, waiters do not speak good English, therefore certain mistakes happened with food. Small portions. Only soft tacos, the only crunchy one is cheese taco which is not good..

We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was full, service was amazing and the food super, we ordered the enchiladas verdes, cheese chicharron tacos and they were to die for, also the piña colada was amazing and the ceviche. They also gave us a little appetizer on the house , little tuna tostadas , spicy but the food amount... More

The extraordinary food has redefined my idea of Mexican cuisine. They take the traditional dishes to the level of a gastronomical experience. Delicious. Service is not at the same level as the food and the decor. Service was terribly slow. The servers seemed to lack experience.

The place looks very nice and modern (much nicer than before!) and it fits perfectly to the neighborhood vibe (Salamanca). The food and service are not very good. The waiters are not mexican as they were in the previous location and you can really see that; I ordered a 'Michelada with Clamato' and the waiter had no clue what I... More

Went there at an unorthodox time of the day (like 16:00 on a Sunday) and had the full attention of a really warm and friendly waitress (I wish I remembered her name), who recommended their best dishes. I love Mexican food and must say this was some of the best I have had abroad. The Mezcals are a must and... More

Forget about tex mex - Tepic in Salamanca serves authentic tasty Mexican food, perfect as the beginning of a night out. Especially the starter with quesadilla and taco was great! Only minus were the low temperature in the dining room and the fact that the 3-course dinner was over in less than 1 hour:)

A modern place with the music a bit too loud for my liking. Not so long menu but all the dishes we picked were great, except maybe the nopales salad. The cochinita pibil was delicious, and so were the buñuelos for dessert. Good and friendly service. Prices are a little bit on the upper side, that's my main problem with... More

The food was g8, though it was priced a bit higher. Staff is also fine, though not that good in English, but still helpful.

Staying in Barrio de Salamanca

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio de Salamanca
Broad, tree-lined avenues with pretty streetlights frame the neighborhood of Barrio Salamanca. With beautiful condominium buildings that make up most blocks in this area, this part of town is refined and quiet. It is also host to a few of the city's large shopping avenues, including Calle Serrano and Calle Jose Ortega y Gasset. A walk down these streets will reveal upscale chains, small boutiques, and plenty of opportunities for shopping or checking out the stylish displays. The locals here are polished and fashionable, the atmosphere is leisurely, and the lush Retiro Park on the southern border is yet another opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. A stroll through Barrio Salamanca is all about admiring the beautiful architecture, window-shopping, and people-watching in this upper-crust corner of Madrid.
