Gluten Free Options

What can I say? It was super delish. I think they even had an English menu. There were only a couple of things that weren't gluten free. Mostly they used corn tortillas for everything and could substitute the corn tortillas in any dish that came with flour tortillas. There were also two... read more

I would not have been so critical about the mediocre food but, the service was awful, from the minute we were greeted we knew this had been a poor choice. The restaurant was empty, we arrived at 7:30pm to have drinks and then dinner, we were not kids but a family, yet the guy at the door, the one that... More

Service was slow, the food was gross, felt like the sauces were frozen, and then to top it off, I had the worst stomache aches later that night. I will most definitely not be going here ever again.

This is a revisited Mexican restaurant with fancy and modern interiors. The food is good but not exceptional, and so are the drinks. Basically, it looks a little bit different from what one might expect from a Mexican restaurant. Price is slightly high for what offered. Can be an option if you are in the neighborood.

My boyfriend and I have been here numerous times, either alone, with family or friends. This place has never disappointed. The octopus appetizer is amazing and the tacos pastor and chicken are great. Portions are a good size and the price is great with the clubkviar discount. The waiters are really attentive- I have a severe food allergy and they... More

Was 2yrs since we last visited & the food was just as beautiful & tasty. Best way to describe it is that it "feels" homemade, not processed. The waiter was really helpful translating parts of the menu into English. Explained all about the sauces & how hot they were! I'd recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Stylish restaurant in an off beat street. The food is excellent, tasty and authentic Mexican. The guacamole is possibly the best you will ever taste! Unlike other reports we found the staff helpful, friendly and professional but you do need to speak Spanish. Definitely worth a visit or 2.

I was there with some friends, (10 people). It's in a huge area (Chueca). Good food and normal layout. I didn't like that you can have a dinner from 21.30 to 22.45 and from 23.00, so If you want to eat more or stay chatting with your friend you cannot.

Tepic is a very stylish restaurant, but don't let the post-modern decor fool you...it's as authentic as any typical Mexican restaurant you'd find on the other side of the Atlantic. The food, service and presentation are excellent...and the variety of sauces and salsas from mild to eyes tearing when the dish is brought to the table. There are many selections... More

We ate here on tuesday evening at 9pm. Barely interested wait staff, the food was bland and overpriced. It was all very much style over substance. My partner and I both ordered tacos, the tortillas came in a single plastic container. My beef Allambra was under-seasoned, my partner's pork was unremarkable, We ordered a portion of salsa muy picante that... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
