The place is cozy and small while the hospitality is enormous. Hugo's English is good and he goes out of his way to help you order. Every dish we ordered was fantastic especially the octopus. Don't miss the experience if you are in Madrid.

Pulled this one out of TripAdvisor and it didn't disappoint. As you walk in, there might br a slight hesitation as there isn't much in the way of a focus on decor. The menu is only in Spanish, but that turns out to be a good thing, because the owner comes and explains the whole thing to you and guides... More

The restaurant was fantastic. We were very well received and the chef explained us the whole menu in English which, as we learnt from our stay in Madrid, was very rare. Most of the Spanish people in restaurant didn't even try to speak English. The food was delicious and cheap comparing to its quality. Such a shame that a restaurant... More

We were looking for a restaurant in Chueca and found this one, small, busy and the food is something you will never forget. The menus are in spanish but one of the waiters explained the menu verbally in english, we ordered 3 courses and everyone of them was so good, mussels in tikka masala was so good that I can't... So we walk in here with no reservation. It's a hole in the wall. They have no room for us, but we can sit in the bar near the window. I'm so glad that we accepted! The menu was in Spanish, the servers only spoke Spanish. We thought we were going to have trouble! But then the head waiter appeared... More

We went there without reservation, and fortunately there's an available table. Chosen their daily menu, our food, prawn, asparagus, entrecôte, all are very nice; and pls don't miss their homemade cheese cake, which is AMAZING!!!!! The EUR 19 daily menu including 1 antipasto, 1 main course, 1 dessert, 1 house wine and 1 coffee, it's of great value that I... More

Visited due to reading reviews on here, a little hard to find but unique and quirky with amazing food. A small restaurant but several different nationalities in there I think because of Tripadvisor, the Americans on the next table told us they were, the size of the restaurant lending itself to sociability. As mentioned the owner goes through the menu... More

When you walk in you're likely to find Hugo welcoming you from the bar. After a few minutes with him you'd probably stay if he were serving cheese whiz on ritz crackers. Instead, the culinary creations you're about to be presented with are likely to be your tastebud's highlight of your time in Madrid. We arrived with no reservation, but... More

We had a reservation here on our first night in Madrid. Needless to say, it was our best meal of our 5 days here. Menu was in Spanish, but the owner, Hugo could not have been nice. He translated the entire menu, talked about his family, where he is from, others he has worked with, etc. he made recommendations and... More

Not a lot I can add to all of the other excellent reviews - except to say, don't go if you are looking for a sumptuous setting, subdued lighting and lots of personal space. Do go, if you are prepared to be culinarily delighted, are happy to chat to your fellow diners (tables are a little squeezed) mostly about how... More
