Great food in a small and cozy place

Great dinner night, I went w/ my wife for our 8th anniversary celebration. Ups: Great food, we ordered tuna tartar, massala mussels (mejillones) and octopus in potatoe cream... Mmm delicious, I just remembered and wanted to taste all again. Great service, very nice people serving the tables, and... read more

Food was awesome. Pricey but worth every penny. The lobster paella was superb ! The plantain chips with guacamole and goats cheese with honey and pesto was a feast for the senses ! Don't miss it if you're in Madrid.

I have been to this place four times so far and I don't get tired of it. It is a small restaurant in Chuecca, the food is delicious and the service amazing. The staff will help you navigate their menu and will often suggest the right wine to go with it. I am a bit picky about my wine but... More

We've been eating our way through France, Portugal, and Spain and this place is amazing. We will probably come back tomorrow night. Great service and really special food. We had the Russian salad and the Tikka Masala Mussels and th Sherbert Mojito

My boyfriend and I had 4 tapas which was perfect for the two of us. We ordered steak tartare, goat cheese with basil and honey, patatas bravas and Ibérico pork skewers, since our waitress recommended these. The food was served very fancily and (mostly) cooked to perfection. I found the steak tartare was just a bit overpriced and would not... More

We had 4 nights in Madrid and ate here 3 of the 4 nights which is probably recommendation enough. Food is imaginative and oh so tasty. The owner is young and from Barcelona but clearly has a huge passion for the food and source of ingredients. Young and friendly waiting staff topped off the experience and incredibly reasonably priced for... More

We were 3 and we ordered 5 dishes - everything was absolutely stunning. My favourite was the tikka masala muscles, something that sounds very strange but we finished all the bread in the resturant dunking in the sauce! And as for the dessert, order anything and you won't be disappointed - I recommend the cheesecake, I'd go back just for... More

Had a great meal here - the tapas was great - guacamole was amazing as was the potatas bravas and goats cheese. We had the ribs to finish - cooked to perfection - just falling off the bone. The desert was deliciously boozy too - a mojito sorbet with extra ron!! The waitress Sarah was very helpful and friendly and... More

Staying in Chueca

Neighborhood Profile
Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighborhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
