You can get some spectacular "pinchos" at the crowded bar. Or sit down for some serious tapas in the room at the back. Either way the food is delicious. The only problem is that the place is often overcrowded, Especially at weekends.

This restaurant is a real find. The place itself is nothing much, but the tapas are many, varied and truly delightful. Without being fancy or haute cuisine, I felt that I was sharing in the gastronomic tradition of Spain. If you don't mind standing, or sitting on a stool crowded with plates of the tapas themselves, I highly recommend.

Ideal place to recovering from a walk on Madrid center, next to la Cava Baja is ruled by a Vask cook. Tapas are fabulous, don't miss the tortilla de patata pintxo and mushroom recepies. The wines chart is remarkable as well.

Food was OK. Waiter was a little preoccupied with hanging out. I might recommend Txakolina up the street instead.

Txirimiri in La Latina represents a first-hand contact with Spanish tapas-culture. It has my favourite tortilla de patata of Madrid and many other delicious tapas.
