Very small place, modern decor. Food and service were excellent! Good choice of menu and an extensive special board. Ordered grilled pork and slow cooked beef, both excellent. House wine was good, too. The bar at the front serves tapas and is very busy with trendy young locals. It's not too far away from Plaza Mayor, a good place to... More

You can get some spectacular "pinchos" at the crowded bar. Or sit down for some serious tapas in the room at the back. Either way the food is delicious. The only problem is that the place is often overcrowded, Especially at weekends.

I visited this restaurant on a Friday night with my friend. We arrived just before 10 o'clock, and there were only two other couples in the room, however, about fifteen minutes later the entire restaurant was packed. I strongly advise going just before 10 o'clock at the latest. The menu isn't vary big and being a vegetarian I was limited... More

This restaurant is a real find. The place itself is nothing much, but the tapas are many, varied and truly delightful. Without being fancy or haute cuisine, I felt that I was sharing in the gastronomic tradition of Spain. If you don't mind standing, or sitting on a stool crowded with plates of the tapas themselves, I highly recommend.

Ideal place to recovering from a walk on Madrid center, next to la Cava Baja is ruled by a Vask cook. Tapas are fabulous, don't miss the tortilla de patata pintxo and mushroom recepies. The wines chart is remarkable as well.

Wonderfull place in Madrid with an unique local environment The wine, the tapas and te service is great. It is small, so it gets crowded. You shall try the Onion Tortilla, simply marvelous As such, a must visit place down in Madrid.

By a coinsidence we came across this restaurant just near the Plaça d'España,and we're really glad that we did! The meny was both varied and exciting. And as we got the food it looked very delicious, and tasted fantastic as well! The staff were also really friendly and helpful, even though they had quite a lot to do at times,... More

Food was OK. Waiter was a little preoccupied with hanging out. I might recommend Txakolina up the street instead.

Txirimiri in La Latina represents a first-hand contact with Spanish tapas-culture. It has my favourite tortilla de patata of Madrid and many other delicious tapas.
