Elegant restaurant with great food and superb service

We went to El Club Allard on business. I believe it is sort of a social club and that this is their restaurant, but frankly am not sure. What I do know is that if I were to give anyone the address and say this pace is a restaraunt people would not think so when they arrive to the location.... read more

This bistro is a high-class one and there are 3 choices of dinner set. We chose a 10-dish dinner at a cost of 86€. The dishes are presented in a very elegant style with great taste and the service is great. Although it is a $$$$ one, it is an enjoyable experience for us.

My Husband & I had lunch at the restaurant recently. The service was professional and excellent but perhaps a bit stilted. The staff to client ratio was very high. The food was generally good but not mind blowing, perhaps we expected too much from a 2 Michelin star restaurant. Thought it was rather cheeky of the restaurant to charge 5... More

Visited to celebrate my husband's birthday. I chose it based on the reviews on trip advisor and wasn't disappointed. The whole experience was perfect. Right from when I got in touch to book the staff were a perfect mix of friendliness and professionalism. The food was out of this world but it is not just the taste - this is... More

The good: Overall, food tasted good. Service was good. The bad: Technique wise, re-used same techniques in too many dishes Pace was way too fast For the same price in other restaurants, you will get better food. So value, was just ok. Peanut-foam eat with the business card ---- eh, what were you thinking? Foam was fine, but too many... More

Wonderful food with helpful staff and beautiful atmosphere. I'm from Hong Kong and I know I would have to pay much for the same dinner I had here. I would most definitely come again.

We had lunch here and were surprised from the very first moment by the Menu. The most surprising course in appearance was the grilled sea selection on a mini hibachi. Each course was fun a tasty. The only one slightly disappointing was the hibiscus flower and Pisco Sour.

We had the seduction menu with a wine pairing. As others have mentioned the meal starts with you eating the business card with a mayo like dip. It was somewhat tasteless but innovative. Next came three snacks of which our favourite was the egg and truffle cupcake topped with a spinach foam. The waiters then served us the entrees- the... More

My first experience in a 2 Michelin Star restaurant. Treatment by staff was excellent, location fantastic, just like being in a living room with correct amount of tables. The food was fantastic, modern, where attention was paid to every little detail. Although I could not discover the 2nd star compared to a 1star location I visit regularly.

Staying in Arguelles

Neighborhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
