A must try

Pros; an immersive experience, food out of this world - Excellent staff and excellent service Cons; expensive but understandable due to the top notch quality of the food served. Advice; try it once and you won't forget it. Always ask for the revolution menu.

We booked El club Allard about 3 weeks before we left for Madrid so we could get a table. We arrived at 21:00 which is the earliest you can come and the restaurant filled up pretty much after that. The staff were nice a friendly and there were many of them. We decided to go for the mid range of... More

Club Allard was just one of four Michelin Star restaurants my partner and I were visiting in as many days during this visit to Madrid. (If you are interested the others were Terraza del Casino for the second time, Diverxo for the fourth time and Punto MX for the first time). It was our second visit to Club Allard, but... More

This was one of my first finer dining experiences and it was great. We got the mid-level menu option and I enjoyed not knowing what would be coming next. The food was great especially the pork course and even when I had know idea what I was eating I still loved it. We were adequately full by the end of... More

My Husband and I had the largest of the 3 tasting menus for lunch. The lunch started well, with good service and the fact that you can eat your menu! The wine list was also good and reasonably priced. However, we were disappointed with the food overall. We have been lucky to visit many 2 and 3 Michelin starred restaurants... More

This is the best Michelin restaurant we have visited in spain, Service was correct and prompt. We were presented with their famous menu, which is edible and made of some type of edible paper. The wine list was nice and reasonably priced, as was the food. Really compared to Paris or New York this place is a bargain. Fine food.... More

I never thought that we would get into this highly rated Madrid restaurant but the concierge at our hotel performed magic and voila, we had a reservation. Then I started to read some of the reviews posted by people who live in my same geographical area and I got nervous that we were going to spend a lot of money... More

Neighborhood Profile
Arguelles
Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced, collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping spot where the major Spanish clothing and department store chains are less busy than their downtown counterparts, and there is an array of casual dining options to choose from. Check out nearby outdoor spaces such as the lushly planted Plaza de España to the south, which is often filled with craft stalls. To the west of Arguelles is the giant Parque Oueste, a calm and picturesque park with its own Egyptian temple.
